anyone having problems with downloading and updating in android market lately?

Finally done with the rooting... it was a tiring somewhat...

They should really suggest you to prepare a few sdcard for it. At least 2 copies of gold card when one fail and one clean memory card for the rooting process.

i just downloaded and updating some application in the Market. And everything is just fine. Maybe you should check your connection to the internet first?

so step 1 error 42 is due to goldcard not usable?
thus causing error in step 2?

I also need to know this as still stuck that stage since last night.

We are not supposed to "FAILED (remote: 42 main version check fail)"?
(mine resumed "sending zip.. okay" ... then a few secs later terminal is closed.
I assumed all is ok, but when on step2, terminal said cannot detect device).

Do need to try with another goldcard issit?
(seems weird since downgrade went fine).

you then resume to step2 or do clockwork fake-flash instead? (push update.zip & rom)

If you fail step2, most likely the gold card dont work...

In order to see the error in step1, better use 'command' and then run the bat file from there. I also had this 42 custom id which lead to device not found in step2.

Boot up your phone, recreate gold card, and try step1 again. If you are successful, step1 is actually a very long process with a lot of unzipping... for step2, better find another sdcard and clean format it. I had problem in Step2 when I used my stock cards with previous android inside. If you had mount problem in Step2, then format the sdcard and try again...

is it that if i change another microSD card then my phone can read my card?
last night i tried to insert an old 512MB microSD card and my phone return the same error "Removed SD card"...

The problem in step1 is caused by the gold card error. That's why advised you to recreate the gold card.

the problem is now i have Removed SD card error...
i can't recreate a goldcard by any means...

I tested my goldcard using \tools\adb devices and it showed my device number.. so supposedly no prob.
but if you say step1 should be a long list of files... then definitely i didn't get there.

You can use back the card to recreate the gold card. I create the first time also fail. The second time works for downgrading but fail step1. The third time only pass step 1. Spent quite a lot of time tinkering with it.

I'm quite disappointed with it. Keyboard is a bit lag, some rendering error with lyn etc. Some places are faster while some places seem slower.

but couldn't unbrick my usb and couldn't proceed to step 2 of rooting...

Eclair 2.1 with update 1.
1. Create goldcard. Success.
2. Then i went on with the rooting guide, without applying RUU.1.31.
3. Failed in step1-windows.bat, step2-windows.bat. Thus kept creating goldcard.(obviously i am so newbie)
4. Then after sometimes of retrying I get the error after a reboot.

After i got the error, I created a goldcard based on the previous CID i got.
The goldcard enables me to downgrade to RUU.1.31.
But still the error is still there.
Tried the unbrick guide.
But even after I execute "fastboot oem enableqxdm 0",
then follow the guide with "fastboot oem boot", my USB still didn't work.
Ignoring the fact that the guide needs SD capability I did all the steps in the guide(i use softroot, since i never rooted my legend yet!),
all commands went through without error, even retried.
Till now my phone stilll shows the error, "Removed SD card".
Can anyone help me? Paul? anyone?

Card i used: 1. Sandisk 2GB card that comes with the phone(my goldcard), 512MB old microSD card.

Both cards are working well, can be detected in windows and no error when checked with h2testw in windows.
Windows can detect Legend when connected. Drivers all good.

So guys, is this really USB bricked or what it is?

If u guys need any information bout the phone please let me know, i'll try to provide.

It seem like if you did not enable vmheap and comp cache, the is lag like hell.

errr... did you use the goldcard for flashing root rom step 2?
you need to use a different card for step 2 or format that goldcard, gold card is only used for step one of rooting (note: not downgrading, rooting)

er yeah...
did try that reformat the goldcard then step 2...
but step 1 alr got customer ID error...
so step 2 for sure failed also...
means goldcard not success?

i would like to create a goldcard from scratch but my phone just can't read microSD cards anymore..

You said if plug to computer still see the sdcard rite?
So why not plug in and then format from there... go download SD Formatter from Panasonic...

Just install RC1, and its blazing fast by default... which means no need enable comp cache and adjust vm heap to 32mb cos already preset...

Really nice as Facebook, Twitter, Maps + Navigation, etc are preinstalled...
