ANyone a member of this club? The PJ Trade Centre branch @ DPerdana has opened. BSC coming up soon. SInce its still new in the market and not much of members, i plan to join....

Hi, I'm interested in Chi Fitness too especially their classes , their D'sara Perdana branch has opened alrd? I was supposed to go check it out & enquire about membership price etc, but forgotten due to my busy schedule.
But was thinking it could probably be much pricey since it's exclusive to a 1000 members? And parking in PJ Trade Centre dunno whether it'll be expensive..

Alternatively, I might wait for their BSC branch to open too..
There's a True Fitness opening in Sunway Giza, Kota Damansara, but I heard bad reviews on TF before. So I'm quite wary about it.

I'm a member from the Klang branch as well. Don't know whether we have met before. I've never been to their classes but their PT seems to be serious with what they're doing and it seems fun. I was wondering on whether a klang branch member can join the PJTC branch since it is under the same company. Would want to try out a new environment.

I had paid a visit last few weeks, pretty nice environment and according to the sales person, the gym will only accept 800members and aft tat they will "stop" getting new members i dont know how they going to do tat but tats wat i study. It is contract free basis, 169 a month and deposit of 1 month.

The free weight area, only have 1 rack (not power rack - abit like those in FF the pin is not adjustable, If u r doing ATG squat then too bad lol) some dbs and limit bench. The only special stuff that he shown me is the TRX equipment with instructor... somehow i feel like its jus a hype, i still prefer a proper gym with power rack, sufficient dbs, barbel and benches.

Overall, preferability i would give it a 60% out of 100%. If it is close to ur place, it might be a good choice but if u need to travel far for it and yet the equipment is as such, not worth the money and effort thou. But this is based on ur personal preference, i prefer bodybuilding kind of exercises, so tats my POV, if u r a cardio, running, or those gym class guy, then its another story. Cheers.

jamis, u r rite...this pix is gym in klang town. but pj trade center much more nicer...their theme is mother nature....u will amazed with the concept and also the enviroment....

I checked out the CHi fitness in D'sara perdana. The only thing that I actually found interesting was their TRX class. That's all. Personally, nothing else is interesting. Weight room too small, equipment too little, classes not much variety (i'm not a class goer anyway) and the price, well, not that much of a big difference.

I've checked out True Fitness and Clark Hatch and Celeb Fitness and all in all, I find Fitness First still a better choice. No doubt its a tad pricey, but the facilities somewhat matches their price. Well, to each his own anyway.

If someone likes large spaces in weight and machines area, then I'd say fitness first ain't the one. FF weight room is a bit on the small side, compared to True, Celeb, etc. Oh well.

I signed up last month and they had a promotion of giving away the month of June for free. Not sure if they are still doing it, may be giving away July free this month.

If I remember correctly, administration fees is RM100, and they charge RM159 per month non-contract. You have to put a one-month deposit, this deposit will be used when you wish to cancel your membership in the sense that you won't have to pay for the month AFTER you cancel your membership.

You get a free bag, towel and a padlock. The bag and towel are of decent quality.

Do you want a free one day trial? I'm asking because if you join, I will get one month free =p

Yes, it's the PJ Trade Centre branch. It has 3 floors, I wouldn't say the place is big but the equipments they have are considered ok to me.

About the one month deposit, let me give you a scenario. I joined in June and paid RM259 (RM100 admin fee + one month deposit) This means I only start paying my monthly fees in July. You can choose to pay by cash or by credit card auto debit monthly. Now let's say in October I decide to cancel my membership, I can still go to the gym untill the end of November because the November monthly fees is being paid by my deposit.

Which means the deposit is not really a deposit =p, I thought it would make it easier for people to understand.

oic ic....im understand now....about chi ....can it join for short term 1?? how many month is the lesser to join?
and something important is...is there alot ppl at night time or holidays??

Their membership is non-contract, so it's up to you how long you want to join for. I'm not really sure about night time as I've only been there once at night, which I feel is not crowded at all. I usually go in the mornings or afternoons, max 2-3 people around.

wow...onli 2-3 ppl at the noon?? but usually i onli free at around 6pm+ cause i've to work at the morning to noon...
hm....may plan to go there to have a look 1st.....is chi fitness able to get free trial?? how long is maximum trail??

They only give one day free trial. You can PM me your number if you want, that way I can bring you in and if you sign up, I'll get one month free =p

Joined Klang Branch in Aug10... Like it alot as the weight area is not too crowded like celeb fitness and true fitness.... hardly got chance to workout peacefully LOL

does chi fitness offer PT sessions.n how's d parking at PJ Trade Centre?may I oso know thhe monthly fees n issit a contract..would be a pus if anyone can commment on the environnment and cuulture at chi

The BSC one just opened. At 1st i thought it was a Japanese lounge. Now i realise it is a gym. If you are interested, I can go and get you a brochure. Very near to my office

Only basement 2 is quiet and scary. If you were to park your car at basement 1, you should be fine.

Did any of you guys know that CHI is actually Clark Hatch? Haha... It is a rebranding of Clark Hatch International (CHI).... A bigger scale one... Heard that the facilities in damansara perdana centre not that good...

II din know that,the damansara perdana's one is near my house.hehehe

As what I have seen, the one at Damansara Perdana seems to looked beautiful and spacious as compare to the Klang's branch.

klang's branch environment is not good enough i think...

You can't complaint much here if you were to know the history of that place. Before CHI took up that place, that place was previously a gym (forgotten the name) as well that went bankcrupt.

fitness first only have 1 branch in jusco bukit tinggi... If you are talking about that branch.... No other klang branches as I know...

overall.. not so crowded but the equipments are very limited in damansara perdana.. and recently since they are doing promotion, the gym is getting quite crowded..

I've just joined Chi Fitness at PJTC today, fees RM 119 / month, upfront RM 339 non refundable. Actually the facilities are very limited, basicly 1 cardio machine for each type of function/ work out..even the thread mills are very limited - not more than 8 units i guess... I only signed up since I work there and i get to kill some time there after work to avoid the jam..and actually their sales consultants attitude is really horrible and rude..

lol any members in klang can guide for bodybuilding lol !

Hmm.. Called to the Balakong C180 Fitness.. They told me the price range is Rm 130++ for one year contract.. Will go there and discuss face to face to see what's their best offer and have a look on the environment.

How do you find the gym so far?

dunno about the atria branch, but i go to the damansara perdana branch. the equipment is ok, i wish there was more as there is only 1 of each machine. but its got a very nice look and feel and so far really happy with the place.

I went to Jatomi today in Tropicana City Mall and I have to say that the place is really nice.

The reason why I wanted to join chi is because of the pool. Is the Damansara Perdana branch crowded? If yes then I guess 1 machine would be quite annoying.

never went to jatomi, my bro used to go but he switched to Chi after that. depends what time you go. if you go at around 6-7pm then a bit crowded. but from >830pm not too many people. quite alright. i also go sometimes at 7am pretty kosong. the pool is also ok, good for laps, hardly anyone uses it.

no problem dude. also parking super easy if you go at night (if comparing with Jatomi). RM2 after 6pm (i think before 6pm can get chop from Chi for RM2/3 hrs or something like that). and since building is only offices, can find parking in <1min of entry. or if youre lucky can get a spot outside tepi jalan, but if unlucky kena saman. but at night normally no issue lah. anyways. enjoy.

Hi I'm gonna revive this for a bit. Chi Fitness is opening a branch in Nexus, Bangsar South. It seems like the gym floor space is quite small. I notice their billboard is a little different than usual. It's called Chi X, instead of Chi Fitness.

I did a quick check on their website and I didn't see any branch around KL/PJ with that name. Can someone here confirm if X = xpress, and that this would be a smaller branch?

Do not go to Chi Fitness at Da Men, USJ 1. Manager is so rude. I asked her about their personal training job and from the moment we met you can see that her face is annoyed. I asked her some basic stuff and she keeps on asking me to fill in the form and had the cheek to ask me "You ask for fun?". At that moment, I was pissed and annoyed and just said thank you and left. I can't imagine how she treats her clients and her workers.

Ya, i still hesitating wanna sign up or not. seems small for that area.

The treadmills are full, so I'm a little hesitant now. The time I reach there was 8pm, where I expect it to be less crowded.

Hi, actually the environment there is quite good. U have all the essential machine that you need to use. Friendly staff s well. For crowded u mention, it really depends, sometimes i went around 8 it's not that crowded actually. There are 2 place for treadmills, 1 is facing the room and another 1 is facing the road. ps: if u would like join I can transfer my membership to you. The reason i wanna stop is because i no longer working at there so it's not convenient for me to workout at there. pm me if u're interest ya.
