U mean you OC the proc and the ram also increase ? Thats normal la.. If you want a stable system, increase up your proc speed and try to maintain your ram speed/lower it a bit ..

Usually most GigaByte motherboards have more flexibility when it comes to overclocking. Example is the Pentium D 945 3.4GHz overclock to 4GHz as shown in my siggy's CPU-Z tag. Another example here: Pentium Dual Core E5200 (with GigaByte GA-G31M-ES2L)... ![]() Here is a simple guide.. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « QUOTE(Kamikaze9393 @ Mar 6 2010, 09:24 PM) cannot...after oc ram on my current mobo it increases the ram n gives u 2 speeds to choose from....cant lower it n make 1:1 ratio always 1:2 Your RAM speed configuration should be under "Chipset Configuration" page This post has been edited by lex: Mar 6 2010, 09:48 PM |

QUOTE(Kamikaze9393 @ Mar 6 2010, 09:48 PM) 1 of my friend his msi mobo has full control of the rams oc speed..just type in...so im wondering if this gigabyte g31 can do so..? The GigaByte GA-G31M-S2L has basically the same options as the GigaByte GA-G31M-ES2L as shown above, thus its mostly down to playing around with memory ratio and memory voltages (always try to keep the memory speed as close as possible to factory specifications, or at lower frequency than default). A newer board, the GigaByte GA-G41M-ES2L has even more stuff to tweak, including the memory timings (check this review). What is the clock speed and FSB frequency? QUOTE(krizalid88 @ Mar 6 2010, 09:59 PM) how bout BSEL? TS's motherboard has BSEL override jumper. This post has been edited by lex: Mar 6 2010, 10:05 PM |

Your processor is already running at 1066MHz FSB by default (thus the "OC 800 / FSB0 / FSB1 Jumper" is pretty useless). You can try the BSEL mod (same one as used for pushing Q6600 to 3GHz) to override the default FSB bootstrap frequency (you will need to set that "OC 800 / FSB0 / FSB1 Jumper" back to default first). Should get your processor up to 2.33GHz easily. Source: BSEL for q6600 + MSI P35 Neo2 FR overclocking?... Other references: Intel BSEL & VID mod Guide |
