i was just wondering, is it posible remove the xbox 360 HD and place it in a USB exclosure to connect to pc (use it as a portable HD with out formating) ? and after i place it on a USB exclosure to connect back to the Xbox360 rear usb port to be detected>?

Well, the file system structure in the XBOX360 HDD prevent you to do so.

You need Xplorer360 just to read XBOX360 HDD's content and it might corrupt if the system detected data tempering.

thanks for the reply.

i tested it and does not detect on the pc oh well, i though can u use it for protalble harddrive when i change my xbox 360 hard drive.

i think i''ll revert the 250gb back to normal mode and use back my 120 gb on my xbox ^^

You can format the XBOX360 HDD for normal use but you'll lsot all the partition.

But I would suggest you to stick on your 120GB HDD as it's not easy to fill up the 120GB HDD.

I'll suggest you to get your XBOX360 HDD casing here and trade it up. a lot of people wants it for a good price.
