Hi Guys,

I've seen many offers on display units such as in Harver Norman & planning to get one.
Do you think it's worth to buy or it's a risk to get one.
Pls. share your thoughts.
Thank you.

you don't know how long they have had these TVs as display unit. Imagine they have been switching on these display sets for long hours everyday (about 10 hours everyday) and the TV panels might have gotten molested many times by those shoppers (touching, knocking, scratching.....), so good luck if you plan to get one. smile.gif

End of the day, it depends on cost versus benefits? If its really cheap like 30-40% cheaper and comes with warranty, then do consider it.

You can buy if you think it's worth for your money.Other alternative is you can add another bucks for extra warranty... It will help you to sleep peaceful ZZZZZZ thumbup.gif But if the price difference with new IB stuff is not much than better you buy IB...

A few years back there was display set for Amps by Desa Home Theater selling cheap with scratches here & there as advertised in the newspaper. By the time I went the next day it was completely sold out. Not sure for LCD/Plasma.

If it is really cheap, check the set out. Check the hours used by going into the service menu. In my opinion if less than 1000 hours should be ok & off course the warranty.

If decided to buy, get the shop to clean up thoroughly the "molested" set.

Thanks

If the display set is amplifier I think it's worth but if it's plasma/LCD you must think it twice.I think you understand what I mean.
