So I finally took the dive and decided to get custom earphones.. biggrin.gif

This; however, means that I had to get an ear impression - and I have to ship it to the manufacturer, which in this case is in China (not even sure Mainland or not - where the hell is Zhuhai? rclxub.gif ).

I need help on how to go about doing this.

I'm aware PosLaju has international shipping services offered too, yes? At least, that's what I saw on their website.

Although for the few times I've used PosLaju (both to post and when receiving parcels) they were reliable and I have absolutely no complains, I'm not so sure when it comes to the international scene. I'm probably willing to pay a bit more and have an ease of mind and use other courier services (i.e DHL, FedEx).

But I have no idea how to ship via DHL/FedEx, really.. I know for PosLaju you have to just fill up a form and submit the parcel at a PosLaju counter, but how does it work for FedEx?

Any help/suggestion/advice is greatly appreciated. I'm very excited for my custom built monitors, and I want everything to be as smooth-sailing as possible. biggrin.gif

I was thinking of using FedEx for their reliability and how fast they can ship, but god..navigating around the site and even trying to register for an account just to ship is so damn hard. sleep.gif Even then, there are so many steps to shipping. yawn.gif

I might just use PosLaju..this really is because I can easily just go to a nearby post office and drop my package off. Having to request for a pickup or to travel to FedEx's building is just blah.

Added on March 6, 2010, 3:10 amHow much is it to post using Pos Daftar? I can't find the rates for posting to China on the website.. sweat.gif

So far I am seeing International PosLaju and Pospriority Express as options.. Not sure what's the difference. >_>

Posdaftar is RM36 I think, for 0.5kg parcels.. But it takes 13 days to reach. sleep.gif

Poslaju is RM63 but takes only 3 - 5 days to reach.. I think I'll be settling for Poslaju. It may be more costly, but I don't want to wait that long.

And I think you might be a bit late, cause I'm already going to ship out the impressions tomorrow.. sweat.gif

QUOTE(bravobronzo @ Mar 8 2010, 12:27 AM)
just use poslaju..the malaysian carrier would be by poslaju, but for international shipping, the carrier (from malaysia to overseas) normally fedex/dhl and some by pos malaysia. then once reach to the country, the carrier will be the local post company. as far as the tracking is concern, using poslaju wont be a problem. but for posdaftar tracking will be a bit lengthy and tedious. you can check the posdaftar rate based on weight at  :

and poslaju rate at :

Added on March 8, 2010, 12:29 amjust additional, if you want better tracking just call them at 1300 300 300 instead of checking the status thru poslaju website, wont help much at the website

Thanks for this explanation, very helpful! I'll be using Poslaju, Posdaftar takes way too long. biggrin.gif
