don't know what kind of soundcard since i am using my laptop. thanks god my laptop have all 4 jack plug.

for audio driver, i am using SRS Labs of Audio Sandbox. seriously i am still newbie in high-end headphone like this.

i tried to set like you shown (Media Player Classic > Option > Audio Switcher > Enable Custom Channel Mapping > 3) and play .mp3 @ 320 kbps + SRS Audio Sandbox ON + Desk EQ 100/100/100/100 Game Mode. yet, still no vibration at all.

is there any basic setting that needed to tweak which i might forgotten?

tried everything and i made conclusion that my vibration device is broken

First of all you have my respect on this detailed review,good job did it like a PRO, ok , i have one pair of this headset, why im am writing to you is because i'm still trying to get rid of  the "static noise" or background noise i constantly hear (like a seashell u have near your ear) , the backgroud / static noise gets louder at higher volumes (50% + /especialy from headphones on wire equalizer) . I tryed them on my friends computers , the noise its still there. I must mention that neither me or my friends got a sound card, we used just the on board ones, but its annoying. My specs: MB Abit P35 Pro ICH9R Chipset /On board 7.1 CH HD Audio CODEC / Realtek

Can u plz tell me,and other that may have this isue where u found answer to this problem , or what sound u deactivated/muted from sound card that now the headphone "works like a charm now". From a gamer to another gamer Respect.

PC beep off = yep the sound is still there. momentary im using some stereo Phillips headphones SHM6103 model , excellent model . @bryan No backgound noise from speakes on full volume . In my opinion and 2 months of online search is that these model of headphones use this USB cable to powerup the headset, and they are not EMI protected , or they are but the motherboard and PC circuit activities still manage to bypass and through that USB conection , u can hear the intern electric activity of youre PC (keyboard function/mouse/HDD activities), its my only answer to what its happening. Shame, hope they next product dont use and such an fault usb adapter just to power it, when u can use just the JACKS for stereo/5.1/7.1 surround sound.

according to (maybe) all users who own them , they noticed that after many pro-long hours of using it , their ears started to hurt.

Hi, i have a question to ask here too.
I just bought Dr Dre Solo HD and use it on my pc.
I was surprised that the sound quality i heard from my headset is par, well below the quality i expected.
At 1st, i thought it was the headphone but then after i read this thread, i found out that sound card is important too. (Sorry, I'm total newbie in PC).
So I come across searching for sound card, but most of them are either 5.1 or 7.1 which compliment the high end speakers set up.
For my case, I just want to use my headphone in gaming and musics only. I found Asus Xonar headphone amp. So guys, I wana ask, is that sound card suitable for me? Or is it indifferent with the on board sound card?

But I'm not so satisfied with the level of quality coming from the headphone.

It isn't the same sound quality as compared to when i plug in my headphone to iphone.

What about after pro-long hours of playing?
Cause I'm probably like playing games and surfing like 3-5 hours a day...
