Recorded a small portion of Lady Gaga's The Fame with Kave's mic directly from speakers:

i am asking because i am not sure how good is my default soundcard in my lappy.

is there any significant increment in quality if i use external soundcard? hmm.gif
*

Not sure, have never tried sad.gif I believe my onboard codec is good enough to satisfy me biggrin.gif

Anyway, just sent my Kave for warranty today doh.gif

Uhh... After playing with the vibrations I realised there's like loose part on the left on the headset, can hear something like a spring vibrating against the wall.

how is roccat kave compared to siberia v2?

from this review i found out its compared with the earlier v1 version with usb (or was i wrong)
*

Yeap, I compared it with the USB version which is the V1. I've read a few Siberia USB vs. Siberia V2 reviews on the net, according to them, not much difference in sound quality and bass.

excuse me...
i would like to ask a few questions before i buy this mighty headphone.

1) Will it produce 5.1 effect when i play stereo music/movie?
2) The length of the wire from the headphone to the control unit, will it be too short?

thx a lot.
*

The wire length is long.

When you play 2.0 or 2.1 movies, you can switch audio outputs to all 5.1 with certain player's function.

Cons: Headset too heavy for extended use.
*

LOL! Yeah, the weight's too heavy for me as well. Most probably the only downside for gamers.

i heard the bass for this headset is not really that good from reviews i read online... is that true?

and i am interested to know how good is this earcup padding and the clamping force whether it will cause pain or not notworthy.gif
*

Nah, the bass is real good after some tweaking at the audio panel. As for the earcup padding, they wouldn't cause pain, just the weight will cause slight pain after long duration of usage.

Kave user reporting,e verything is perfect except for its weight, i think the cushion is a little bit too thin and small, that the weight it puts on the head is localized and causing headache, at least for me. Eh how do u tweak to get a better bass? I'm setting the base equalizer to max, rest on low and crack the master volume to max.

Apart from that, it's a fantastic headset! Tested on BC2, vibration doesnt kicks in during mortar strike or tank blast beside you. However, it does kicks in lightly when a chopper hovers near you , sometimes i hope it'll hover longer coz it feels like massaging your head tongue.gif

Realtek audio codec?

I guess lotsa people here are wearing glasses/spectacles. I'm one of them tongue.gif it is comfortable enough for me, just the weight issue doh.gif

i thought if u tighten it'll be worse? that's why i loosen it afterward so that i let the earcup hold the headset in position and the top doesnt touch my head.
*

Nah, if you tighten, the weight will be more evenly distributed all over your head. Thus eliminating the pain on top of your head.

50/50/50/75 for me. Windows volume is 10~20. I use Media Player Classic, better playback and more tweaking options, better quality audio playback too, with its packed codecs: http://www.codecguide.com/download_kl.htm

Do you have a soundcard or are you using Realtek audio codec?
