Thinking of buying Toshiba Regza 42RV600/500. Forgot which one is under RM3,300. Which shop worth buying?

just go for the one with 100hz or more i think better for your game.

sony klv-40bx400 is rm3299..no 100hz thou..need at least another 900-1000 bucks to get 100hz if im not mistaken..

42RV500 you can get below rm3.3k but better u go for 42RV600.You will be satisfied with the PQ

does the 42RV600 has 100hz? whatever that is. where is the best shop to buy?

i bought Toshiba 42RV600E from a shop in melaka, at RM2780 last week.

I think u can get lower from shop in KL or from this forum.

Pls give me comment about seeing white shadow when watching movies/astro with LCD... One of my friend give me input about this when he watching movies/astro...

Toshiba Regza 42RV600E is the best. DO NOT BUY philips... Worst brand ever. U will regret buying it later on.

ok, please avoid any sony bravia s series if possible coz that's what i'm using. well, if u have close friends or relatives with lcd panel, try it on first.. if not possible, go for any lcd tv with full hd OUTPUT display resolution. which is capable of displaying at 1920x1080 pixel. that's all i can help with ur budget. about that 100hz thingy, i don't have experience about their price. but i do know they can make ur movie looked like it was recorded from ur own handycam (which is a unique feeling i might add).. coz it will play at higher than 24p framerate.

how about when compared to panasonic l42s10k?

Pana is quite GOOD and affordable

i'll go for toshiba 42RV600E coz it has RCA out. i can connect pc speaker to it.

A cheap Philips Home Theatre at RM999 that comes with DVD Player with upscaling capabilities and a usb port for images n videos.. however, it only have a digital in.. no optical..

Digital input you mean HDMI is it.If it's HDMI i think it's ok what.It's carry both video/audio signal

Speaking of LCD screens and Home Theatres... I just noticed that there are a lot of rich or rather well to do chinese families in Penang that tend to have expensive large LCD TVs (42" and larger) but no sound system... at the most they have an Astro decoder and a DVD player connected to it and they watch SD format that's upscaled on a Full HD TV which is really awful. Didn't check the back but I'm guessing they're using RCA still

No.. Digital In has a connector exactly the same as RCA connector.. aka RGB cables.. or Component cables..

r u talking about my mom i have setup to her s-video for astro & component cable for dvd, that is the best i can do at this moment... oh by the way, she is using plasma so still better than lcd with those sd format

Just bought a Panasonic TH-L42S10K Full HD LCD TV with a free HDMI cable at our local electrical store at RM2,700 only. Thought its a good bargain and thought of sharing the info here. thumbup.gif

Just bought a Toshiba Regza 42RV600E. The LCD TV is having interference with my Astro Remote Control (Normal Astro). When i press a button, a different function is executed, and sometimes it will turn of the decoder.
