My mom went to TM Point in Cyberjaya to upgrade my RM88 1mb to RM140 4mb BB Deals.

She was told that TM would send a technician in 1 week time, there will be a RM88 installation fee, and after the upgrade there will be a week downtime, is all these true or was my mom being cheated.

would like to know. =)

When my internet is down after the upgrade, what can I tell those people working in TM?

Just to share my experience:

I applied to upgrade from RM88 1.0 mbs streamyx to BB 4MB package last Monday 5th April. Previously, the 4Mb not available in my area (Hulu Kelang/Ampang) for many years... but suddenly its available when i asked on Monday.... lucky me! maybe somebody in my area cancelled his line or moved to different area!

Added on April 8, 2010, 10:09 amhi wztech, if i knew of your experience earlier, surely i would have got a technician to test my line despite TMpoint said cannot get 4mb.... wasted all those years trusting TMpoint, ha ha ha....

but having said that, this is actually the best time to get becos only $140 +wifi modem + free calls.... i was even willing to pay $268 those days, but they said no line... so TM lost some income from me lah...

btw, what sort of speeds are you really getting? Did you manage to get them to increase to 5mb cap? Thx.........

Today I called streamyx and the lady Wan really pissed me off

Those who registered BlockBuster Deals, did anyone of you get your DECT phone yet? I upgraded mine through online about 2 weeks ago but I have yet to receive any information regarding the DECT phone.

I heard that we can either wait for TM to courier it to us or collect at TM point though.

Just received my DECT phone today as well. It seems like they're giving out different model of PANASONIC dect phone as well.

do this Blockbuster provide service for upgrade from normal streamyx user ? right now im using rm88 1m. can i upgrade to BB without change my number , and directly change my rm88 plan to this BB 140 ?

guys, what should i expect from 1MB's download speed? My max speed now is 115kb, is it fair? I use to have 170kb when i am on 1.5mbps. I read that some folks can reach 170kb even they are on 1mb. So when I upgrade to 4mb, i should at least 450kb.
