i got bad news to share guys sad.gif

it appears that my kone seems to have a problem. i lent my kone to let my friend try it out but it appears that he told me that the scroll button has been faulty doh.gif

its actually the right click of the scroll button. the left and middle button of the scroll button seems to be working fine. now i donno how would i RMA it it since i bought it from UK sad.gif

anyways, the kone is still with my friend. i'll get it back and test it for myself to see what'a the problem actually. lol.....
*
im guessing ur gonna have to RMA to UK....

before the roccat launched here i wanted to RMA my Kone too coz of some weird cursor behaviour.. talked to Tibor and he said im gonna have to contact OCUK.

i contacted OCUK and i found out that fedex to UK (for an estimated 1kg package...didnt know the exact weight) is gonna cost more than half the price of the mouse so i said forget it. (better u check the weight and call and find out exactly how much)

but check with answer first. see if they can help u with it. if they can (with or without a fee)...let me know...wouldnt mind RMA-ing my Kone too ahahhaha

besides....if i RMA the mouse i dunno if i have to send the full package or just the mouse....if full then ill prolly end up with the V2 packaging which i dont want..me wan the sexy V1 packaging ahahhahaha.

yes this is the unfortunate disadvantage of buying overseas.....but at least the mouse lasted well enough for quite a long time....

but the advantage is...we got it first...brows.gif have been able to happily play with it for a long time. and now that the brand is here, i dont have any second thoughts of buying the kone again here..its such a damn good mouse..

only thing is....im curious to try other mouses. thats why i havent bought it again yet hahahha

definitely kone
kone is similar to SS ikari
so 100% more comfortable than mx518

actually i find the kone similar to MX518

moving from kone to MX518 feels natural...dont really need to adapt to the shape coz the feel of holding it is similar to the MX518

So basically a Kone is a nicer looking and better performing MX518 since it lacks the pinky rest of the Ikari.

I just got my Roccat Sota today...
never expected getting this mouse pad due to just heard of this brand few days ago..
Wanted to get Razer Vespula but very pricey in Melbourne so ended up getting this instead because of the Reviews i've read about it...
I got the blue one which i find it very nice. It doesn't "shine" too much, from a side view far away looks black.. Find it very cool biggrin.gif

Bought this to replace my Exactmat
user posted image
I find the exactmat was killing my mouse's mouse feet and the mouse pad starting to wear off due to the age of the item..

Today i am a proud owner of Roccat Sota! Seriously never expected to get this other gaming brands other than razer or logitech.. hehe
user posted image
It also fits my desk just nice

Pros & Cons of the mouse pad:
-I like the size of it, not too big
-Design is really cool and i love the blue color!
-Really smooth
-like the material used and able to bend a hard pad thumbup.gif
-Price is affordable for most users except my case(because i bought this in Aus which cost me 39AUD(Around RM120))
-Good packaging, even have small cut out samples for you to feel it.
Cons:
-Can't think of one right now.. lol

thumbup.gif up for Roccat.. starts to like Roccat already, the mouses are tempting too.. tongue.gif

P.S: Roccat's logo reminds me of Thundercats(classic cartoon)

Its not news guys, Roccat mouses have problems with their scroll button after a peroid of time. I knew this because i read up on the mouse on sites and youtube. Almost everybody who bought it claims that the mouse wheel button will die out in 1 month if your unlucky. At first the complian was directed to the V1 series of the mouse but after these guys purchased the V2 version the problem was still there. Lucky for me i hold out on buying for awhile to see if this was true. Aside from that there was no complian about the mouses performance. Right now Gigabyte seem to be going into the Luxury mouse business, the mous i just bought which is GM-M6880 is almost identical to KONE in shape but lacks the performance. GM-M8000 looks very nice too but it doesn't have that nice matt feel to the suface, but still its a wicked buy if your not too fussy about the surface.

I would advice the guys who haven't bought the mouses to hold off buying it yet until they solve this issue. And to those whose mouse is already suffering from this you have to mail it back to their source for a replacement. Mind you this might take 3 months. If your mouse does not have this problem you are very lucky indeed.

wow. the postage fee to UK is that expensive? doh.gif

if thats the case, then i think maybe i'll just get a new V2 kone. but i'll contact answer.net.my to see whether i can RMA through them with a minimum charge.

also, i dont actually mind if its really spoil coz since i got an Ikari, i lent the kone to my friend and been using Ikari since then. have to admit its really a good mouse and i miss all those additional button that i can use for many application and during gaming. all and all its a good mouse and maybe i'm just unlucky.

btw, by other mouse, do you mean RAT brows.gif i'm also waiting anxiously for it dude laugh.gif

you got a point there. but according to roccat, their faulty middle button has been solve and if you do a lil more researching though other forums, the RMA rate decrease after they fix the problem but i still believe its a 100% fix, maybe a better improvement or something like that.

but if you wanna try something new out, for me, i'll take the chance. hack, you can now get it in malaysia, so if there is any problem you can still op for RMA here in malaysia. but are you sure that you have to wait 3 months to get a replacement? i doubt it would be that long hmm.gif

I don't think RMA a mouse from Local Distributor will take around 3 months sweat.gif
For me, 1 month is MAX period for RMA/Warranty from reseller (me) point of view nod.gif
If you have source, point it out. Don't simply voice out your assumption, bear in mind it will tarnish someone reputation ~ dude notworthy.gif

Only overseas product suffers from that issue if there's no local distributor.
