Perhaps you have dropped your phone before and damaged the antenna? Perhaps you can try hard reset... I never got this prob before even though with latest firmware.

Not sure but better dont do that. Better charge fully then only flash.

1. V40 got new function in alarm ringing and receiving calls. When your phone is locked, and the alarm rings/you receive calls, there are 2 sliding bars at the bottom of the screen. to stop the alarm (or answer the call), swipe the 1st bar to the right hand side and tada! you have done the job.

Just follow the direction on the screen and you're good to go. Like iphone style.

2. not sure why is it like that.

3. It's lag because u never finetune it. Follow guides in first/2nd page and install KILL ME to kill unwanted services. My phone is very smooth with practically lag-free. (with theme effects off)

Yes rofs2 is the z drive.

Now im on my own CFW v3.0 with 76mb free on c drive after restoring settings everything.
-btswitch working
-kill me in english
-chinese and english language
-30mb rofs2
-minimal apps (for those who doesnt need so many extra stuff)
-phone torch
-no xplore because i 4got to add it in... but im lazy to flash again so u can install yourself

will upload it when im free with complete changelog.

XM, what u mean by 'multi homescreen capability'? means can use 2 homescreen at the same time?

Oya XM there's a rotate screen mod which makes it very fast when rotating the screen, i tried it and it works perfectly. maybe can add into your XFW =D

Haha now my phone is very fast and almost lagless when rotating... been using my CFW for a month and it's quite stable and clean =D

inside got calibri font + CHINESE characters, just replace it with your S60DIGI ... etc (the 3 fonts) and u can see chinese with XFW v4.0 EC...

Refer to FP on how to change fonts, make 3 copies and name them
- S60SC_C.ttf
- S60TCHK_C.ttf
- S60ZDIGI.ttf

then put in E:/resource/fonts...

erm the replace i meant was "replacing your whole TTF font file in E:/resource/fonts", not editing it. Means using my font with calibri la. if u wan to mod your own, then good luck =D

i think replacing all

fonts with calibri modded.ttf is ok, no prob occurs in my phone.

dont put in rofs2, it's wasting space. just ask them who uses v4.0EC to download calibri font separately and put in E.
Like that u have no hassle and save space.

You can't compare 5800's screen with iphone screen because they are of different technology, one is resistive one is capacitive touch screen.

5800 requires you to use some force to tap on the screen, normally ppl just use fingernail because it's fast and accurate. On 5800 u can use stylus or spectrum too. It's quite sensitive if u use nail i would say.

Iphone is using finger touch, u use fingernail or stylus it won't be triggered.

It really depends on how u take care of your phone, it wont break if u take good care of it. If you are willing to learn how to hack your phone or improve your phone, nokia 5800 will be a very good choice. But if you're lazy to do all these stuff and want to just use it as is, it might lag.

We are using CFWs and it is almost lag free =D

XM i wonder why don't u just edit your V4.0EC over 1.0EC? since 1.0EC works perfectly in chinese reading and input.
