XM is there anyway to enable the startup animation and startup tone? I installed the GIF booting sis file and put the startup files in C:/boot but it doesn't work. I don't want to flash the phone so is there anything i can do?

since u already using the xfw so just follow below step to overcome the tornado boxing issue:

1. change back ur HS to others HS like the original wave or basic theme.
2. extact the attached fonts into your e:\resource\fonts folder
3. reboot your phone
4. change back your HS to the tornado HS

TADA!! gao dim liao... 

yes, if only xm included the "right" chinese supported fonts in his xfw...

Added on March 22, 2010, 11:30 amremember the fonts only supporting for "READ", and for "WRITE" u will need more then just "a font" there are more files and tweak have to be done... that's why xm facing trouble previously with some of his xfw... what can do XM can't read chinese

so i think later he redo the mods using the original malaysia apac with minor tweak during languages removing... every single minor tweak might render the languange support unusable...

1 thing, XM, about the sensitivity of kinetic scrolling, i found it so difficult to double tap something. especially when want to open msg in inbox. could u fix this thing. i love the HS especially the 3 buttons, since it make my life so easy with that. and i prefer if have search function. u know when u have memo or meeting noted everyday, so its easy to trace it.

anyway, hope to see ur XFW soon!

yes i think if u include all below "actual fonts" it would resolve all those language boxes issue, i think the firmware able to load 5~6 fonts if we have it inside the Z:\resource\fonts folder also u might as well don't mod the rofs2\resource\Bootdata\language.txt :

1. S60SC_C.ttf
2. S60TCHK_C.ttf
3. S60ZDIGI.ttf
4. s60snr.ttf
5. s60ssb.ttf
6. s60tsb.ttf

hi all, i am new here and been reading from the first page. i am about to buy the 5800XM and read the purchasing guide. when i am at the store to inquire the price and what's come with the package, the salesperson just simply tell me "all original accessories", when i asked what are the stuffs, i get normal accessories like charges and 8GB memory card. sadly none able to let me know what really are the accessories. so i hope members here can help me out, i saw in the purchasing guide the follows:

is the TV Out cable, extra stylus, foldable stand included in the package? i am buying this in Kuala Lumpur, around lowyat and sgwang area. any help and advice are really appreciated.

I get mine in oct 2009 and the tv cable already no more loh...
and the usb cable short like mouse tail... hehehe

the problem is they are not showing me the box... and when they show me the box, they already assumed i am buying it... and when the box out, i check and see no tvout cable and i say i don't want, they like want to cook me and eat... very sad... did this once and now not dare to ask them to take out the box to let me see already.
