i have already set it back to 999 messages. but still cant get the old 900+ messages back. any idea?
previously i did a soft reset. (not hard reset) so it shudn't delete my sms rite? since i still got my inbox sms intact.

Hello,

I have Nokia 5800 XM and since I updated to the latest firmware v31.0.101 I experience problem with starting of the Alarm which I use on all workdays to wake me up.

What is the problem?

For e.g. I set the alarm clock to 5:50am and I set a repetition on Workdays. But the alarm will not sound on that exact hour and minute, it will be delayed from 1 - 5 minutes. I believe this is a bug in this new firmware as with previous versions it was not a problem and alarm was accurate. I tried the to hard reset Nokia to Factory defaults and this does not have any effect on the alarm it is still not accurate. So I'm forced to set the Alarm before so that I'm on a safe side to wake up and catch my daily train for work.

Problem is really absurd, I hope this will be settled in the next firmware update.

XM, i am goin to flash my tube using JAF.
Just to confirm, the firmware ( http://www.4shared.com/file/229376716/c946...C_v400005.html) is ur custom XFW rite?

Secondly, If I update the nokia original firmware (Nokia_5800XM_Firmware_400005) then I dun need to run 'KILL ME' am i rite?

Ok. I have also downloaded another firmware from nokia website and it is 143mb in size. How come ->[http://www.4shared.com/file/229376716/c946b9ab/RM356_APAC_v400005.htm] is only 88.3mb ?

Nono..i extracted both and the 143mb version have more files in it. The one downloaded in this thread [88.3mb] have fewer files. Any explanation ?

XM,

My tube now is v30 firmware. Do I need to flash to v40 first before flasing your [XFW_v40_Final_Edition] ?

sad.gif error encountered : Phone rebooted but not in flash mode.. (now it's stucked in white screen)

Inside JAF is showing APAC1 Red Malaysia. My phone is actually a black tube. Does it have anything to do with it ?

Does flashing my phone delete my SMS and Contacts?

XM,

I can't perform he following after flashing :

Delete C:\System\Data\RPPLus.dat (This file will be auto created once restart)
6. Delete C:\System\Data\FileMover.cap (This file will be auto created once restart)
7. Delete C:\System\Data\devlist.dat (This file will be auto created once restart)
8. GOTO THIS FOLDER LOCATION "C:\Private\101f875a\startup" (Delete files!)
9. GOTO THIS FOLDER LOCATION "C:\Private\101f875a\tasks" (Delete all file!)
10. GOTO THIS FOLDER LOCATION "C:\Private\101f6efa\" (Delete all files!)
11. GOTO THIS FOLDER LOCATION "C:\Private\102072c4\" (Delete all files!)
12. GOTO THIS FOLDER LOCATION "C:\Private\101f8857\Cache\CData\" (Delete all files!)
13. GOTO THIS FOLDER LOCATION "MEMORY CARD\Private\101f8857\Cache\CData\" (Delete all files!)
14. In memory card, create folder E:\Sys\Cache
15. In memory card, create folder E:\Received
16. Enable OPEN SYSTEM FILES patch in ROM Patcher to overcome Nokia standard browser issue.
17. Tips, after installing ure favorite applications do again step no. 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 12.

---------------------------------
Those file are not found for me to be delete. And also what are the consequences if I dun delete it ?

XM,

Ok, enabling the hidden files does show the C:\Predic folder. But it still doesn't show "C:\Private\" Etc. And I also can't create E:\Sys Folder. Any idea if I dun do that what will happen to my phone ?
