My phoenix worked just fine in 64 bit blink.gif
I've flashed the PNHT firmware files before. Dont know why Symbian Beta XFW cant be detected.

Can you guide me step by step if you managed to flash the XFW with phoenix? smile.gif

1. Disconnect phone, close Phoenix n PC Suite completely ..
2. Start PC Suite and connect phone into PC Suite mode when it asks ..
3. PC Suite will re-install / repair any driver issues ..
4. Observe the phone screen as a notification update may appear ..

After finished, copy all firmware into Phoenix path .. and execute Phoenix and it should auto detect now ..  smile.gif
*
Hm you mean after I do the above steps, Phoenix should be able to detect the firmware when I click "Firmware Updates" from the top?
Because Phoenix detects my phone just fine, just that the XFW cant be selected.

Haven't reinstall PC suite, takut conflict with phoenix blush.gif

if the original FW detected, then just change the 3 files, ROFS2 (V22), ROFS3 and UDA.FPSX for XFW the click refurbish .. u can change / re-route these files by clicking options after Phoenix detects original FW  smile.gif
*
Oh only change these 3 files into the original firmware. The others in the XFW can ignore?

Done replacing the 3 files after Phoenix detected the original firmware files. Should I also replace the other files in the RM-356 folder with the XFW files as well? Or only the 3 files is sufficient?
Any performance affected? smile.gif

Put the files into JAF directory, still no .ini files. I think it's because those are for 1.98.65. Mine is 1.98.62.

Any ideas?

So what I understood from the 2nd post in that guide is use the manual method without ticking the ini box?

Justin, I managed to install JAF without problems. But the one that worked had .ini problems. Or you have another version that worked on 64 bit?

Added on March 26, 2010, 4:11 pmXM, the link you posted and the DCR-Ni guide both did not work on 64 bit.

Xploit, to change the theme effects (dejavu/spinslide etc) on the symbian beta EC, I need to edit the effects folder as well as making a C2Z patch?

How does the thunderstorm effect work withotu C2Z?

You dont need the C2Z Patch, replacing the ROFS2\Resource\Effects folder with other effects is enough  nod.gif
