Something I'd like to share:


Ta da, full 1/100 Scaled Impulse Set.

Why is it wrong? It's still Gundam kits, only Blast is not but still scaled.

Well I was a Gundam modeller a year ago but quit for Tokusatsu toys. I went to the warehouse sales today to get some of my Toku toys and below are the prices for Gundams that I noticed:

HG Clear Expo 1/144 Exia RM20
HG Chrome Expo 1/144 Exia RM20
1/144 NG Gundam Shenlong RM5
NG Blue Box Villain from SD Gundam Force RM2 or so
MG Sword Impulse RM76 (many people buy these)
White Box ZGMF [heard ppl said it's NG Red Frame or something] (red wording name - can't see it clearly but many people took them) - RM50
MG RX-93 Nu Gundam RM193
MG Zeta V2.0 High Def Colour or something - RM70 (sold out by this morning)
SD Gundams White Boxes RM10
Keroro Kits RM5
MG Destiny Normal Version RM176
NG 1/100 Exia (blue and white box version) - RM50
MG Strike Noir - RM116

I think they had more but I don't bother to go in and force myself among the crowd.

That's why too many people buy the Sword Impulse MG. I reached there, I saw, people were hugging one box each and I peeked at the price tags, RM76 for one. I reached at 9.20am and there were like 5-6 people at the ground floor near the counter holding one each. There were also people up there searching and searching, and this made it to the most crowded LT warehouse sales I have ever been. It's rare that on the first day, so many people were there already. Oh yeah, all HG Exia versions that are standard equipments are RM20. Even the normal colour ones.

Oh I remember people were buying off the Code Geass Lancelot Conquista and Lancelot Flying Armor type kits as well. I don't quite notice the price but they should be under RM60.

Well when I left at 11.20am, I still saw one Strike Noir and it's the one with the clear parts, not the old one. As for the promo item, they took them out only at around 10am, the Musha Mk2 at RM220 as advertised in the flyer.

I saw it was Rm220 when they first threw out. Wonder if they change the prices after that. I heard the day before the sales started, the Expo Freedom Clear set was selling for RM30 and they were gone before they could even put them on actual opening day sale.

Oh so they managed to edit it eh? And Sword Impulse Rm176 meh? I reached at 9.20am, I saw people holding them like dun wan to lepas. I saw macam RM76 coz upstairs no more. Maybe new stocks came was Rm176 ledi?

Well if it's 176, then why they are so semangat grabbing them? Doesn't make sense. Last time I checked, MG Sword Imp was about RM150 to 160 max.

I was also there for 2 hours hoping they throw more Toku toys but I end up having nothing to do but went to see Gundam prices a bit and went digging for Ranger and Rider Vinyls and the Tomica Hero mini cars. Yeah, HG were damn cheap. I heard from my friend who passed by the day before and got some stuffs, MG Freedom Clear Expo were indeed RM30 and got people really there sapu-ing even before they started.

Well, I suspect on Saturday and Sunday or maybe Friday evening, the prices will go to a more unbelievable state. Those Keroro kits that were RM5, are not the old kits that we see outside selling 50%. It's those new kits, the ones that are based on a movie or something. And not the figures, but the Robos.

As for the Gundams, I may have mistaken for the MG Sword Imp for 176 as 76 but the others are really cheap. HGUC BD 2 still at Rm20 according to another friend who went later today.

That I don't know. However I heard from my Toku collecting friend that he saw that MG Freedom Expo Clear for RM30 or so was originally planned for today but because they were making a VERY HUGE FUSS when they are arranging their stocks out, people took the time to go see and they let people buy for cash only. I was also shocked when that friend called me up and asked me why I wasn't there and I was like, not tomorrow meh? He said people saw them arrange things so went in to inquire and when people wanted to buy, they just sell.

As for new Gundams, I am not too sure. Today I heard some guys talking about that MG Zeta 2.0 High Def Colour at RM50 they got. I was just there and they were leaving? And the NG 1/100 Red and Blue Frame limiteds were all reserved by then, 9.20am MAN! I think those are about RM50 also.

That's for sure. I saw a person buying 5 Mystic Morphers. That's for sale for sure. As for Gundam, I doubt they can sell a lot higher.

I sold my MG Hi Nu assembled unit a while ago and I'd say that kit was full of problems.

1) The Fin Funnel Holders cannot sustain the weight of the Funnel themselves. So at the end, most of them from my set broke because I displayed them long term in such mode.

2) In comparison with the RX-93 Nu Gundam, the Hi-Nu does not feature metal joints so it might be a problem displaying him without the standing base.

I would say try Unicorn. Hi Nu is not worth it.

Don't remind me of how sad I was when my friend told me the 2000 Kamen Rider Kuuga toys were bought by one guy, on the day before official sales started. Even the Tomica Hero Rescue Force DX toys were like last piece when I got there yesterday 9++ morning. Then again really, the MG Expo Clear Freedom was sold out on day before official sales because RM30, who wouldn't grab. Btw, what do they have today on specials?

I don't know who bought them but my friend who didn't know much about Gundam described the RM30 MG as the following:

Blue wings, big box MG clear expo version with white background box - so I suspect it to be the Freedom MG Clear Expo. But anyway, any MG at RM30 is sure to go for it since I once collected Gundams before.

A lot of good stuffs were taken as well like the HGUC Gryphios War set was at RM50 sold out the day before starting too I believe.

Do you think I don't? I was so heartbroken when my friend, also a Toku toy collector said he was ALSO VERY heartbroken when he saw the Kamen Rider Kuuga toys being bought by some guy who lurks in Times Square. I was like, WTH, they are selling before the sales started? How I hate them.

March 2010. that set was RM70. This time RM50. Well, good for a decrease in prices.

This year people came because they were making a huge scene when arranging the toys so the news came out and people flocked in to buy. A lot of the good stuffs were bought on that day itself.
