not xd lah....

the normal x gundam....coz i remember x gundam beam rifle can turn into shield lah...

so cool if HG can do it.... drool.gif
*
Something like that, although I don't remember Garrod using it very often as the X was upgraded to X Divider fairly quickly in the series. The shield mode of the rifle is kinda ugly anyway but it would be nice if the HG can emulate everything the X can do in animation.

Sidetrack a bit, I feel that the MG Wing is a bit too skinny particularly in the lower limbs. Maybe Beecraft got their hands onto it again.

Thanks. biggrin.gif

F2 Zaku is great. Marked improvement over the original HGUC Zakus, better proportion than the somewhat skinny Zaku Kai.

Great feet design which allows better movement without the awkward looks of the old HGUC Zaku or Gelgoog.

Best looking pose so far.

haha... the MG Wing's claws really look pathetic. Why didn't they make it bigger? The rifle reloading mechanism which is similar to a double-barrel shotgun is sweet. However for a relatively tiny MS with not many accessories it's a wee bit pricey.

[color=purple].Kinda makes you wonder how they could sell the ver KA at 3500yen and how they jacked up the price for ver OVA to 4000yen. Ver KA uses more plastic in weight (see its bigger gun, bigger shield, bigger wings), yet the OVA is 500yen more expensive. So i guess we're paying more than 500yen extra for those extra pairs of HGUC-like hands and inflation? doh.gif
We might have to look at the amount of runners and parts of the Wing first. Maybe Wing does have more sliding parts or a more complicated internal frame that jacked the price up by 500 yen. Then again, gunpla does cost more nowadays. MG Strike costs 3800 yen and even comes with a full size catapult; Victory which is the size of a HGUC costs the same.

If the Ver KA is not a V variation, i'm guessing it's most probably MG Unicorn Gundam "Banshee" due to the Unicorn Gundam anime hype, although i'm personally rooting for an MG Delta Plus Ver KA  wub.gif

But we'll see how it turns out.
--------------
*
From Bandai's way of doing things, it would be expected that HGUC versions of the Sinanju, Angelo's Zulu, Royal Guard Zulu, and possibly Delta Plus will be released some time later this year, probably coinciding with the release of the second Unicorn OVA as these units are suppose to make their appearances in the battle of Palau and the subsequent events. Having said that, Delta Plus deserves an MG as it's transformable... then someone will definitely kitbash it into a Delta Gundam.

MG Banshee is probably inevitable as it only needs a recolour and a new horn, chances are Bandai is waiting for the hype to be built up when it's time for the 3rd OVA that will probably be the earth arc storyline... then HGUC Jesta will also come by then.

QUOTE(carpathia @ Mar 9 2010, 03:03 PM)
damn....you guys are right...with the execption of sinanju ver ka....all the other ver ka was not that great.....guess i better buy some other MG......dont want to bang my balls when they release MG V variations!
*
Depends on how desperate you are on getting the V I suppose. Yes, sometimes it's worth the wait but for Unicorn, it took them slightly more than a year to release an improved Unicorn, and honestly the knee joint articulation is still disappointing after Bandai's revision.

Unfortunately for the gunpla, the most you can do is a 90 degree L shaped beam weapon as the sabres point upwards when grasped and the tonfas face backwards.

somehow or rather i feel that when bandai releases the banshee MG/HG i feel that the color won't be so matte black.. probably a lil shinny black. gotta spray topcoat to make it matte
*
That's actually the original colour of the Banshee as shown in the early linearts... dark grey with a bluish hue instead of fully black as described in the novels. It's also worth mentioning that the MKII is known as the "black giant" in the early episodes of Z even though Titans colours are midnight blue.
user posted image

Having said that, the NTD mode of the Banshee was coloured in black and orangy-gold.

QUOTE(golbeza @ Mar 28 2010, 12:33 PM)
most probably the Banshee wont get a MG treatment anytime soon. Even after its debut in the Gundam UC anime. my 2 cents tongue.gif
*
Be patient. Judging from how things are going due to the OVA, we'll get HGUC-fied units that will appear in the "Red Comet", which includes Sinanju, Angelo's Zulu, Royal Guard Zulu, and Delta Plus. MGfication usually takes some time but Banshee seems pretty inevitable, wait till the OVA reaches the earth arc where we'll get the Jesta and then the appearance of Banshee.

Im thinking of getting a Titanium Unicorn/Sinanju. Which is better and why?
*
Forget the Titanium Unicorn and go for the OVA version which has improved articulation.
Sinanju-wise, it depends. Generally extra-finish/titanium red looks much better than the silver used to replace normal white; the question is do you think it's worth paying much more for bling?

QUOTE(turtles_inc @ Mar 31 2010, 12:49 AM)
so lets say i'd decided to get a MG Rx-78

would you guys recommend the ver2.0 or ver. Ka or ver 1 yearwar?
*
2.0.

Looks are subjective, and many dislike the retro style of the 2.0. I personally prefer it to the many other versions of RX78.
The 2.0 gives you the best articulation, very stiff (read: sturdy) joints, full set of weapons, and the corefighter with display stand.

At the end of the day, the decision lies in your hands. Google for reviews and pick the one that you like, not the ones that we like.

QUOTE(HazardXZ @ Mar 31 2010, 01:30 AM)
why does the Rx-78-2 ver.ka doesnt have the yellow cross at the sheild?

its been so long since i enter this thread  thumbup.gif. As a UC mania myself, my vote goes to MG The-O, this i've been waiting for so long since its HGUC release, it would probably be the biggest MG ever, next to MG Zeong (Perfect Zeong Excluded).
*
MG The-O won't be as huge as MG Nightingale. tongue.gif

If Bandai ever MG-fy or HGUC-fy the Nightingale, please don't send it to the slimming centre like they did with HiNu.

That is one big, mean beauty... The original Izubuchi lineart looks more like a space cockroach, this Sazabi based resin kit is more watered down.

This is probably your end product... Looking forward to yours.

dalong.net is your best friend.

Generally no loose parts, maybe the feathers might be a bit flimsy but quite ok. Hands doesn't grip the rifles as well as it should compared to newer MGs with hand pegs.

Hmm iinm Hyaku Shiki originally designed to be transformable? Just at last minute, the idea was scrapped

QUOTE(gaiachronicler @ May 14 2010, 10:34 AM)
oh... sad story, i would really like a transformable hyaku though  cry.gif  delta plus is to look like hyaku shiki? but in unicorn story??? or isit just a crossover by this artist?
*
AE originally wanted to design a transformable gundam i.e. Delta Gundam but the internal frame was too fragile for frequent transformation. Therefore they scrapped the transformation mechanism and used the remains to build the Hyaku Shiki. It was until Kamille's involvement with MS designs that they managed to produce the Zeta.

In Unicorn the scrapped Delta Gundam project was revived and the newer technology allowed the transformation process to come to fruition, and eventually the Delta Plus was born. Katoki's lineart included the FA Hyaku Shiki Kai's beam launcher instead of the generic Hyaku Shiki/Z+ rifle, and the triangular shield was left out although in the Unicorn novel there were pictures showing the Delta Plus holding the shield.

Very confused.....
what is the difference. HD colour, metallic Coating, extra finish, designer's colour? r they all the same?
*
HD colour = the zeta kits which look brighter, like gloss injection. Hyaku Shiki ditches the chrome plating for extra finish gold
Extra finish = metallic coat
designer colour = 00 kits with a lighter shade and different decals

I think with right combination of color tone blue & purple & with glossy polished bling2 finish which can match the overshiny gold plating, it will be able to look awesome icon_rolleyes.gif lets see if there is japs modeler can make it look better than the OOB condition.
*
The Japs already did.
Replace the chrome gold with extra finish gold and the colours won't clash as much.

dalong.net has posted the review of Musha MKII. For those who worry about the chrome plated golden parts, well at least they look better than the poo coloured pipes on the Musha Gundam when posed side by side.

Go check it out.

Of course. Same with the chrome plates of the Musha MKII, although it requires slightly more effort to paint it, easiest way is via chris's method instead of stripping the chrome with bleach.

Yes... original Deathscythe !! Not the messy looking DH or the overdramatic batman DHC. 3800yen too... relatively cheap considering today's gunpla pricetags.

Good news that Bandai is considering releasing all the 5 gundams from Wing. Antagonist suits won't be too far off I hope, although they will need to design a different skeleton for Tallgeese but once that's done there'll be 3 easy variants to milk from.

If this is the issue, i really don't understand why would they release Okawara's Wing 2 months ago.
I also don't understand why this kit is not a Ver KA kit, since they've already called the Wing redesign a Ver KA.
*
Count me in. The ver Ka Deathscythe looks hideous compared to Okawara's sleek and simple design. Hopefully Bandai sticks with Okawara's designs instead of mucking around with the more obscure ver Ka renditions.

And when I get the time I'll dig up some of the prototype designs of the Wing series gundams from my old laptop... they are bloody hilarious.

QUOTE(temptation1314 @ Jun 3 2010, 04:35 PM)
Oh my bad, must be years I haven't watch back EW. sweat.gif
But then again, the EW is a bit redundant isn't it?
*
EW is redundant to begin with. The EW gundams are regarded as the same gundams that were used in the TV series despite the drastically different appearances. There was no mention of any upgrades from the old gundams to build the EW versions - it was supposed to be treated as the same units.

It doesn't add anything to the Wing storyline, just a good excuse to sell toys. And it did helluva great job doing that judging by the popularity that WZC and DHC received, surpassing that of the original anime versions.
