You know... I think BD is totally destroying my cinema experience... Recently I find cinema movie's image quality really horrible... watch till my eye kinda hurt because it doesn't look sharp at all... there's this blur-like image that's constant and the colors seem a bit washed out...

QUOTE(maskedchan @ Apr 1 2010, 05:09 PM) cinema big screen experience ma But I'm really beginning to lose faith in cinema... QUOTE(sKyWiR3pT3lTd @ Apr 1 2010, 05:10 PM) I agree with you bro, even the last film i watched in cinema was Avatar [both on 3d and 2d]. The image was fading in and out constantly and color was utter blurry.. probably true.. I just watched a 720p version of District 9... and all I can say is OMG... the difference is so huge comparing cinema and 720pProbably you watch BD too much bro, your eyes can't accept non-sharp images / high def.. QUOTE(anfieldude @ Apr 1 2010, 05:35 PM) hmm... so it means cinema is really inferior quality?BD is really the one of the ways of enjoying a movie.. of course 720 or 1080 alternative also so far so good |

QUOTE(maskedchan @ Apr 2 2010, 12:52 AM) your place using HD projector ah? Hows the IQ? But need a totally dark room to enjoy right? QUOTE(anfieldude @ Apr 2 2010, 09:05 AM) No. Films are shot in 24p. The cinema projectors I believe refresh at native 24Hz or 48Hz. People who are prone to 24p judder will notice it. Most home theater displays refresh at multiples of it 48,72,96 Hz some even higher. U notice it more at home then in theaters, thats all. Hmm... never had this problem before and I've been watching movies for over 3 decades... could it be that the cinema's projector lens need calibration or something? |

QUOTE(mpyw @ Apr 5 2010, 08:14 AM) Watched "How to Train Your Dragon" 2D on sat night with the family, great flick and very fun to watch, those watched in 3D, how's the feel? Yea, it was a good watch but the cinema I went to... the picture seemed blurry (not sharp at all) and the colors washed out The cineplex are doing a good job at sharp focus and good colour, before the end of the movie, my son already told me, you MUST buy this in bluray hor... The Night Fury looks like Stitch though with the teeth and the smile and the ear too....already look terrific in cinema, it should look great on BD and the sound must be good too.....a must get for me in bluray |

LOL.. nipples.. i get it now..
I'm also a bit dissed about buying a BD twice just for the same movie... but with extras... Dunno why they just can't release one BD with 2 versions like my Chronicles of Riddick or Coraline... |

Our local $peedo, VideoSleezy & Batu Selekoh must've been ca$hing in money right now; for those who can't wait. still deciding whether to buy or not... since there's no special features in this one...There's an extra collector's card (the 7th piece) on some release from the local shop version (if you're lucky to receive one)... an exclusive limited-edition... QUOTE(DarkNite @ May 5 2010, 01:05 PM) Coraline 3D is amazing.. though the colors are a bit washed out compared to the vibrant 2D version... for me I just take it as Coraline in a different art style.overall, I say fabulous! being able to enjoy clear 3D movies in the comfort of my home is a plus. Extras are fantastic as well.. watching it makes you appreciate the movie even more QUOTE(sKyWiR3pT3lTd @ May 5 2010, 02:01 PM) Forrest Gump Blu-ray Sapphire Edition. just ordered today together with Karate Kid I & II, Saving Ryans Private... should be good PQ I think...Any of you guys own it and have watched it. Read blu-ray.com review and ratings. Need personal opinions on this film in terms of PQ & AQ and any extra supplements? |
