Need help.

My iphone 3GS is on modem firmware 5.11.07 with 3.1.2 firmware.

I dl-ed the 3.1.2 fimware to restore cuz i dont want to upgrade it to 3.1.3 yet.

But when i shift click restore, it says extracting file then say could not be restored. this device isnt eligible for the requested build.

Any idea why? i want to restore so that i can choose restore as new and enhance my iphone battery life.

hi guys, can i ask some things bout my iphone.

1. i use my iphone connect to wireless and dl things but the speed only 10kbps. my fren use the same internet connection but he can get 60kbps. is it something wrong with my phone?

2. another thing is i used papago. but when i on it, my current location is at kl city area. i allowed to use current location but still never come to my place. any idea why? and is there any settings in the iphone that we can choose to use A-GPS or just GPS?

hey, i am using 3GS 16gb 3.1.2 firmware.

Anyone know how come when i connect using my house wifi then it will dc and i have to re-dl the games. but on my laptop, my internet connection never dc at all. i have tried few times on my iphone already and still same thing happen. it will dc after dl-ing for some time. before this never had this problem as i dl-ed up to 200mb also no dc.

Anyone know whats wrong?

yup, already did that. thats why i used to be able to dl things for hours cuz 200++ mb. but now, keep dc after a while.

hmm, dont know whether they will change for me or not. since it was working fine last 2 weeks when i just got it and it is hard to prove that it will dc after a while. thanks for your input

hi earlier i was trying to connect wifi in my college, it is connected and the phone at the status bar also got the connection symbol. but when i open safari it says not connected to internet. have to wait very long and try again, then only can. any idea why? btw, this is not first time happening. is it my wifi chip got problem?
