ok im new with iphone and wanna ask is there anything i should turn off for my iphone 3gs v3.1.3. Im buying without any package because my place wifi is always available. So is there anything i should turn off to prevent my credit deducted for something i dont use.

If i turn off the 3g from iphone setting, does the iphone still use 3g connection?

Is there any other solution to share, anyone?

thanks for reply but I got question regarding on the comment from the second link u give, I'm using v3.1.3 if I disable the 3g then I want to enable it back is it no failure. Anyone try this b4.

Btw to get itunes id i need to fill in credit card no.? how to get the id without credit card? i just want to try free application only for now.

I cant choose none for payment method. Only can choose 3 types of credit card, there is no other choice.

Edit : Put a blank an error will come out saying that i have to fill in the blank.

Erm.. it complicated to say. But i found another solution, for those who cant see the none option (like me) just create itunes id using your iphone. I try it today and the none option are available to choose. Hope this help.

Yeah maybe cause i register using iphone and guess what the none option is available to choose.

i keep receive could not activate cellular data network when i try to use any application that use internet using my iphone and yeah i cant use internet.
i dunno why.

I read to turn of EDGE need to have this cellular data network, why we need to turn of EDGE?

Im using it to control/remote my dekstop using iphone. Very usefull software for those who keep hanging out but want to "keep in touch with their pc".
