Ok.. now im facing a huuggee problem.SIFU`s pls help me out..
I tried restoring while maintaining at firmware 3.1.2 but ITunes wont allow it and forces me to restore and upgrade to firmware 3.1.3. So I didnt restore knowing once I do it I wont be able to jailbreak my phone. So I did a RESET ALL instead hoping that it will erase everything and then I`ll restore all my backup files back into the phone. But now after 1 hour of waiting and staring at the apple logo Im suspecting it freezes or something. So how??? I want my phone backk T_T ..

I read this at one of the post saying

iPhone Stuck At Boot Logo (credit: nokia2003)
Q: I'm stuck at Boot Logo. How to solve?
A: For those of you who have who accidentally click or did a "Reset All Settings" or "Erase All Content and Settings" or stuck at boot logo for a long peroid of time, please refer to the steps below to restore your iPhone: *Please download the firmware to your desktop before you proceed.

1. Make sure the iPhone is not connected to the computer.
2. Close the iTunes application and re-open it again.
3. Plug the usb bit to the computer
4. Hold the "home" button of the iphone
5. Now plug the dock connector bit to your iphone (without letting go the home button)
6. Await for further instructions on the screen and then release the "home" button.
7. Hold shift and click restore for Windows users and select the firmware. Hold Alt/Option button and click Restore for Mac users and select the firmware.
*For 2G iPhone, after restoring your firmware, you need to jailbreak and unlock using Pwnagetool or Quickpwn to have a full function phone.
*For unlock 3G iPhone, you can jailbreak your iPhone if you choose to.

Problem is if i do restore i`ll go to firmware 3.1.3. arghhH!! help
*

Hi guys, i'm posting this on behalf of my friend. She just got herself an iPhone 3GS, and when she connected to wireless connection and sign in msn, we tried chatting on msn. She use the phone, I use laptop. Problem is, if I reply to her msn a few messages, she either didn't receive all of it or just received only one of the many messages I replied to her. So what's the problem?

Will Maxis know that I've JB-ed my iPhone.
The reason is because I'm going to purchase an iPhone.
I'm afraid that if I JB the iPhone and something goes wrong (like a messed up accelerometer) but restore it to original before I send it back to them.
Would they know that the iPhone has been JB-ed and not honor the warranty? Thanks in advance, your reply is most appreciated.

My battery seems drained fast after jb with spirit. It drop about 5% if i put it stanby for 1 night.Izit normal?I am not using backgrounder.Only SBsettings and changed the theme.
*
5% for whole nite = how many hours?? If u mean 6 hours, do your own maths la....

5% = 6 hours, 100% = 120hours = 5 days, normal la...... so u'd expected your iPhone to last forever on ONE charge??

Also what theme were u using?? i was using an animated gif as my background, 25% batt died on standby due to the theme..... brows.gif brows.gif

Most users (me included) need to charge our iPhones every nite, so that means 25% usage every 6 hours....

They wont know bro.. reset factory setting means all cydia apps inside your phone are gone..
so they cant track whether your device has been jb before or not.. dont worry smile.gif

@yezhacolic: Thanks for your reply!
I'm actually using a JB-ed iPod Touch now and plan to get the iPhone.
But then the Maxis staff said that if I JB my iPhone I'll void my warranty even though I "Reset to Factory Settings" cause the staff in Maxis centre in Gardens/KLCC are trained to detect whether the iPhone has been "Reset to Factory Settings" from a JB-ed firmware.

Resetting to Factory Settings is not enough. You need to fully restore your iPhone. In that manner it would be back to its non-jailbroken 'mode'.

This is crap la dude..
I am sure 90% of the technician working at maxis does not know craps about iphone..
I think our Sifu in this forum even know better..
Btw, restore to factory setting means = restoring to the original Iphone when comes out from Factory..
Correct me if I'm wrong?

Well, just to be safe, why not?
But then again, I saw many people claimed warranty for even JB-ed phone and none got rejected so I highly doubt you are this unfortunate~"

Just restore it. no need to be worried.
i've send my old iphone 3g to warranty, and i used to jb'ed it.
they just take it, and bout a week and a half later i get a new iphone.
