I'm afraid if you missed this out:

No doubt S'pore telco offer is better than M'sia. But again, it is 2 different countries and lets not try to compare between Malaysia against Singapore or Hong Kong. They may be better, but look at our side, our land is wayyy bigger. Why not compare the houses price in between?

Both S'pore and HK have very concentrated population, if a company spend a lump sum to install 3G equipment in an area and it earn damn lots, what about M'sia? Our population isn't that concentrated, thus earning ratio wouldn't be exactly the same.

You can use up to 20GB per month and DiGi wouldn't charge you another cent for data.
*
Again, we can't compared between 2 telcos from different country. Why not you compare the petrol and houses price in Malaysia with Singapore?

I lived once in Hong Kong and they're complaining that my computer table size in M'sia equilvalent to their couple's bed size and they sacrificed a lot of space to fit it in!

And for your latest question, why do we care if DiGi or Maxis leading in iPhone sales? It isn't our concern as well to be honest. I only concern if they're providing us good service enough.

I wonder what makes the ivalue or idigi plan so attractive that people are taking it?

I personally took idata plan with my normal maxis plan.  With my Maxis active10 or whatsoever they called it, I sms at the rate of RM0.01

With my RM50 limits, I could actually send 5000sms on paper calculation =P coz i never sent that much.  Normally just about 1500 sms and calls.  Never exceeded RM50.

With those idigi88 plans, 1500 sms would cost me, what 1300 x RM0.10 = RM130 additional to my RM88 plan?  Is that wise?  Correct me if I am wrong.  The same also to ivalue plan by Maxis.  It is just not flexible and why people even want to take it.

Just curious, no mean to offend anyone.  Please enlighten me on why people choose ivalue/idigi plans.

d main reason is if they sign up the plan, d iphone price is cheaper.. compare to those paying RRP. unless some1 dy gt the iphone, thn it's nt wise for signing up the plan. normally those who r a new user tat fancy bout the iphone, will go for the package cz cheaper.

You're right, can't compare between 2 countries. I mean, why not compare the safety and education level in Singapore with Malaysia?

We care if DiGi or Maxis leading in iPhone sales to satisfy our curiousity, that's what forums are for, right? To discuss things like this?

Receiving calls and SMS are free in Malaysia. Unless you're roaming, then you get charged for incoming calls (but receiving SMS is still free).

Well, this is an iPhone sub-forum. This thread is relating to all about iPhone & DiGi. Yes, and I mean it:

If you prefer the safety and education level in S'pore, you can opt to get yourself studying in S'pore or perhaps sending your kids over there. If you like the telco other there, get a line there to use there or roam in M'sia. Nobody gonna stop you. I deal with Singtel before and some of their procedures just either weird or old. For example you can't transfer a prepaid number to a postpaid which you can do so in M'sia. And please... I'm not complaining nor comparing, but I just set out example which are system by country.

In the other way, both country has different land size and population concentration. Why people are saying, "Here in Hong Kong we all use Fiber-Optic!" But hey, look at the business side. I only need to invest a 1km fiber-optic and I may get 10,000 customers, but while in M'sia probably only 200 or so. It's just not that easy when the boundary are big.

DiGi vs Maxis, well... majority statistic and testing shown Maxis has higher connection speed than DiGi and their 3G coverage is much larger.
