Get OFF campus instead. It will be better.

Okay, open the door, to your right is your first bed, and then second and then third and forth.
In front of each bed, is the table. So, there's 4 in total.
Then at the other end, is the toilet and wardrobe.

If I recall correctly it's like that. In short, for the money, it's a lot better for off campus accommodation.

The picture shown is the twin-shared bedroom. Notice those doors, they are the room where two bedrooms are placed, where the tables are placed at the outside. Total 3 rooms (i.e. 6 people) in 1 unit, that comes with a shared washroom that has 1 hot water bath, 1 cold water bath and 2 toilet bowls.

It may be hard for you to secure off campus on your own. But if you have friends at UNMC, get them to help you if possible. Pioneer overcharges the off-campus rates, so does their on-campus rate. But the on-campus at least has the proximity and convenience that are quite good. If you cannot secure even the on-campus with twin shared, then find something else. I was told (in fact, chased out) from the on-campus accommodation as all the 1200 units will be opened for new students. So, I believe you can't fail in getting a room you want if you apply early.

I think i'll stick with the on campus accommodation coz i don't have a car, and it's safer on campus right? I heard there are many theft cases off campus.. How do they select roommates? is it at random or same course? Is the library open 24/7?

Breaking news!

One of my friends who is staying in Kapas Hall told me that, now residents are not allowed to use any electrical appliances (except laptop, PC, charger I think). Kettles, fans, ovens, fridges and even printers are NO.
Reason? It's said to be wasting a lot of electricity.
Kapas Hall is managed by Perintis Kencana.
Take this into consideration if you wish to stay in Kapas and Pangkor Hall, both managed by PK.

Even if you are about to stay in Redang, Langkawi or Tioman (which are managed by Pioneer Century), it's best to ask if they enforce the same rules or not. It's my feeling that the bloody Pioneer will do the same thing as well.

Now, you need to use the USB thingy to brew your coffee!

Yep the guy told me that when i visited to find accommodation. However he said u can probably hide the kettle in between ur clothes in the cupboard so that they won't notice during the spotchecks and such laugh.gif

can someone plz tell me the difference btwn "single Shared Ensuite Bathroom with A/C" and  "Single Shared Bathroom in 5 Room Flat with A/C "
*
Single shared ensuite bathroom means u have a single room with bathroom attached to it but u share the bathroom with the single room next to urs. Single shared bathroom in 5 room flat is a closed small corridor where there are 5 single rooms in it and a public bathroom with 2 toilets and 2 showers (shared among the 5 ppl) and ur room is not attached to the bathroom. Single shared ensuite bathroom is slightly bigger than the 5 room flat..
