Guys, these are the talks for this Saturday's Open Day:

Talks available: (Venue: F3B04)

11:30am Politics, History and International Relations Dr. Neville Wylie, Head of School, School of Politics, History and International Relations

12:00 noon Why is psychology one of the most popular degree topics in the world? Dr. Peter Mitchell, Dean of Science / Director of Studies in School of Psychology

2:00pm Back to the Future: international relations in the 21st century Dr. Neville Wylie, Head of School, School of Politics, History and International Relations

3:00pm The University of Nottingham: what sort of university will you be joining? Dr. Neville Wylie, Head of School, School of Politics, History and International Relations

The race car built by the Mechanical Engineering students will also be on display and got actual demo as well.

The eye tracker equipment will also be available for visitors to test. This is under the School of Psyshology.

A lil piece of advice here. Try to remember what the dean says during his presentation, some lecturer might ask during the interview. That's what happened to me.

haha, i also have the same thought. however, the personal statement really crack my head... i havent finish yet
got presentation somemore ar?? i thought hand in application form then interview only? so any1 going tmr??

And campus tour too. That's what open day is all about, isnt it?

Hmmm, being a student for 4 and a half years, I'd never been to a single open day before

The campus isn't that big also actually, so there's not much to see, or rather so hard to remember.

Just that on the open day one would get more insight on why certain buildings are built that way, etc.

can i just hand in my form then interview?? i'm going there alone so i want to get it done as soon as possible

yikes...i bank in my accommodation money and sent the email with the form n bank in slip last week...no replies after one week....nobody picks up the phone...darn...

for my case,I hand in the form and interview on the same day.
but do make sure you bring everything needed for the application.

I'm afraid you cant. You are asked to hand in the form when you arrive there in the school of pharmacy.

After that, you'll be asked to enter a room where the dean will do his presentation on the course. I dont know if you can opt not to attend the talk, but the interview is going to start only after the talk and the campus tour. It'd look weird if you wait outside alone for the talk to end, no? Just go with the flow will make everything right.

And if you really dont want to attend the talk/campus tour, i think you can just mail them your application form and wait for them to call you for interview.

BTW, many went there alone too. I was one of these loners...before i met someone i know there coincidentally as she's one of the applicants too. lol

@Fantasia: remember to bring along the reference letter as well.

i already signed up for the interview so i dont think can change anymore. i guess i just follow the flow XD

@Fantasia:Is that hard to write a personal statement?
You sure have your strengths what.
Just say what you will do with your course that you'll be studying.
Of course,that's when you don't really know the course..
After you know it,you actually know you can do much more than that.

Hi all, I'm joining in this Sept as a postgrad student. Planning to attend the open day tomorrow and take the campus tour.

Are there any buses available?? Does the bus pick up visitors (i.e: non-students) to attend the open day at Kajang KTM tomorrow?? If they don't, how much is the usual taxi fare from Kajang to UNMC?? Your replies are greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

To me, it's hard when you don't know the aim of studying the course. I already applied biotech in UCSI.

So you're planning to go to whichever that accepts you ? o-O
