I have been thinking this question for two years. Too hard to build a room in a forest I guess.

Added on August 15, 2010, 7:29 pm465 is two people share one bathroom where it's one door away from the toilet, and it's by Pioneer (slightly nearer to campus.)
435 is few people (4?) share one bathroom, two doors away (your room door then the toilet door), and it's by Perintis, further a bit lo.

one door away means? if few doors away then cheaper?

this is an individual unit or a whole hostel building?

One door away means the bathroom is attached to your room and that bathroom is limited to 2 people.
Two door away means the bathroom is not attached, but few steps away to your room, and that bathroom is limited to that 5(?) people. (It's like a unit with 4-5 rooms and 1 toilet)

Aiya, basically Pioneer is good at leeching off students and covering their tracks that's all laugh.gif

I mean seriously even the rent in Sunway is not that expensive (if it's not the apartments).

rm465 is cut throat la...

especially so when its in the 'forest'..but usually students who can affords nots are from above average to well to do families and they are taking advantage of this..

my previous hostel at ucsi..2 person bedroom..full furnished with a big cabinet and shoe cabinet..bed..table..all in all rm420 per month..although we need to share the toilet..

however the toilet is cleaned every alternate day by a cleaner...there's a pantry with microwave n fridge..and laundry services is included..

and i thought mine was expensive. rclxub.gif

Nott one is almost the same..
Well, they just dun calculate the rate that way.
If this place doesn't have Nottingham, those rates won't be so high up in the sky.

I don't think there is any regulars here from Psychology. But if you have questions about living in Nottingham then we can certainly help you. Academic wise, well, not much help.

PM ArianneG

She is taking a double major programme in Applied Psychology and Management Studies.

So far no one in this thread is in the pure science based psychology programme, which is quite different from the one above.

Hi all,

I received a notification from my email saying that there is an open day this weekend. I am particularly interested in the MBA course.

So what are the things to see and look into during the open day? Will they bring us to the lecture hall, accommodation place, cafe etc or just sit inside and listen to the marketing people introducing uni?

marketing ppl??
hmm,i dun recall any..
i met with the dean of engineering when i went there, who further became my lecturer but leave nott eventually.
i think they will bring you round the campus.
you can ask to be brought to places that you wanted to visit.
i'm sure they will.
and most of the time it will be done by volunteers,as in real students.

i remember the open day I went. There's a hall you'll be directed to where there're people to talk to about course options in the university. Then there's a campus tour thing led by students every half hour or so that you can join.

you might be interested in taking a look at the halls of residence.

Yes, there is subject requirement. If it's Chemical Engineering, then you are probably looking at doing well in both your Chemistry and Physics. It should come equivalent of a B in A-Level. (No idea what score will that be in IB)
Consult the Admission Office or the Chemical Engineering department for more information.
