organic. Walau paling scary punya. So many synthesises to memorise, so many variations of molecules to memorise. Actually still ok la compared to inorganic.

Staring at the wall will lead to staring at the monitor, and eventually leads to staring at youtube, laughing spontaneously. haha.

hmm.gif  true enough.. urgh, life. -.- i did consider what happen if i wanted to change course after foundation year, so my dad ask me not to rush and take my time. A levels was my first plan because there wasnt any other way to enter nottingham besides STPM and A levels. Then nottingham said there is foundation which kinda ease my heart because A levels is 2 years and taylors is far from my house but i am near to nottingham
yes, i thought i was going to overtake my father's ICT business but then later on i changed my mind after i realize how much i love science. LOL. Then it was between medic and pharmacy. Then i made pharmacy my first choice, and then medic my second. T_T and i was so sure about pharmacy. LOL!! i feel hilarious right now  sweat.gif  sweat.gif

BUT WAIT, the foundation cant be that easy right? I mean there must be standards, if not i dont think its that easy to enter Mpharm.
*
erm. so where does brunei come in the picture?

go ucsi do a levels la. nearer to semenyih ma.why need go till taylors? shakehead.gif

girl, if u like science/applied bio/applied chemistry, study science, not pharmacy/medicine la. set your priorities right. do u even know what a pharmacist do? if you are working in the hospital for example.

aiyo..as u said..for A-levels..study 2 years..just do 3-4 subjects..for foundation about 11 months..study about 7 subjects(not sure about notts foundation programme).. how can compare? unsure.gif

LOL. er, job opportunities.
usci? lol i dont like it there.  yeash. LOL its like the doctors tells the patient his problem, then the patient tell the pharmacist then the pharmacist gives the medicine. =) right?

hmm.. yesh, i get a clearer picture now. =)
*
u go brunei research before?

lol. why dun like it there? what u like about taylors then?

ermm....correct in a way..but the patient dun tell the pharmacist la..the doctor will write a prescription for the pharmacist and the medicine will be dispensed..but this job is now more in private hospitals..

in gov hospital..dispensing jobs will be done by dispensers...graduates with diploma in pharmacy...ur job will be looking through at prescriptions given by those housemen..check whether the dosage correct or not...then u need go in clean room prepare IV drugs n nutrients for patients..and u might to need to round wards to check on patients conditions and their medications..whether need increase or decrease their dosage....etc..

Well,I seriously believe what you did in foundation is enough for u to survive the undergrad..
Otherwise Nott won't be making up the foundation program isn't it?
Well,I guess..Probably Pharmacy ones is not so good yet..
Maybe after few years improvement will be more tailor made..lol..
*
the main purpose of foundation IMO is to tie the students to that particular uni, so that the student won't run away anymore as other unis might not accept that uni's foundation.

not to say its useless, but its not enough. anyway, with sheer dedication and hard work during your degree you still can succeed. smile.gif

taylor because taylor is clean? HAHA
yesh, brunei has less han 20 pharmacist . my aunt works there =)
yesh! its paid in SGD! and free car to use, free petrol ( petrol too cheap), my old house is in brunei, safe, peaceful. LOL
only thing bad about brunei is its boring. LOL
even goverment service the pay is very high. fresh grad around 3k SGD,

note, (BD ( brunei dollar ) has the same currency as SGD ) =D
*
ucsi very dirty? blink.gif

well..if u can stand working in brunei for the next 30 years without entertainment i dun see why not...there's always a 7 star hotel to look forward too..XD..

but if u come malaysia work then u need start from housemen all over again.

so all in all, money is the main motivating factor for u to do pharmacy?

well..perhaps only for sponsored students..
have to ensure their health..
won't..in the middle..

@zstan:I find that the foundation course is quite useful for my first year course..
well,I don't guarantee for the entire undergrad program..
but I don't see any guarantee for A levels or STPM..
*
before i proceed..may i know what course r u doing? smile.gif

Well,I am not saying that foundation program is the best..
I just mean that the foundation program is sufficient for you to survive,at least year 1..

@zstan: Yes.For example,maths and chemistry,especially.
For those who didn't take further maths in A levels or STPM,you will learn additional things in Foundation Maths,in which those knowledge is required in Year 1..
*
see there, you have a Foundation Maths subject to help you revise ma.

for pharmacy course, the organic chemistry that is required is very very deep.

but hard work still can conquer all obstacles la no doubt. laugh.gif

haha foundation is sufficient, yes its true but sometimes its always better to know more than what is required esp when it comes to courses like medic/pharm.

but anyways, i dont rmb seeing any min requirement for foundation students to enter Mpharm in the website. They allow meh? lol

i believe u mean 'stuffs' HAHAHA  brows.gif

ahyaa watch together with your friends lor.. biggrin.gif

lately many uni also like that. foundation students in ucsi can go medic/pharmacy now. its a marketing gimmick la. less time, less study and can go in a professional course.

everybody likes short cuts.

erm..have to tell u one thing..those type of rooms..mostly are malays..
jz worry that you cant share with them..haha..

yea..i agree..i am not saying that it is 100% enough..
but for engineering,i'd say it is ok..
as we are being subdivided here very clearly..
even so,the knowledge needed for first year engineering are not too hard still.
so,i am not saying that doing A levels not good..just that..the foundation should be enough..
I am not sure how the foundation program being structured in other university college..
but at here, they have put a lot of emphasis..so no problem..
*
how many subjects did u do in ur foundation?

because in ucsi they do about 8? each sem 4 subjects..but u won touch the subject in the next sem..by the time u reach degree all is forgotten.

oh wait ._. whaaaaat O.O i tot ppl who made up their mind only go foundation and study the specific subject they wan one ._.
*
......

when u signed up for the foundation course u didn't ask what subjects are u going to take?

not really specific also la...if u study foundation in science... and u dun wan to do MPharm..u still can change to biotech wert...foundation is just a more easier and less time consuming route but indirectly cuts off all your chances of securing an external scholarship.

Limited places are available for MPharm (Hons) Pharmacy and subject to a higher progression requirements as approved by the School of Pharmacy.

u better dun screw up as you have no where else to go with foundation.

and that's a LOT of subjects to do in foundation. compared to a-levels which is only 3/4. what do u think?
