I don't get it. They allow refrigerators provided you pay them extra, but outright ban printers? =_= Doesn't make sense. AT ALL.

in my previous university we students bring whatever we want into the hostels.

there's no logic. Printer uses less power than a fridge. The 'waste electricity when left on' arguement will not work here. Wow PK being a pain in the 4$$ even before I start school.

If you have no responsibilities (e.g. scholarship holder) then yeah la.

I am owning a desktop myself..
Though my desktop consumes 3 times the power that a laptop consumes,the power it consumes still less than what the fridge consumes..
Though I do some good using the desktop last time..Do Folding..haha.

One thing good though, you can fight for it, about all those lists. What is reasonable what is not. The final boss is still angmo that listens to students - those who pay, as long as the issue is brought up nicely and in a way that angmo wants - systematic.

The 'allowed with extra charge' is just writing 'I am a money sucker' on their own faces. LOL!

i thought among all the electrical appliances,printer is the one that consumes the least electricity...u won't use ur printer 24 hrs wad...u only use it when u need to print things...and what is with the fan? doesn't the hostel comes with a ceiling fan?

and since so many restrictions...i m going to charge my GPS, camera, epilator, hair straightener and whatever that i can charge...

even how much u charge ur gps or anything also wont consume as much electricity as those stated..except printer..
but seriously,bringing a printer to on campus room is not a really good idea..

looking forward to bein there no matter the can/can't electric list. Am allotted to Pangkor. Anyone from Yangoon there?
