@rxy, lol apparently my friend who knew about that ultimate ear brand only know about that brand, like how normal ppl know the brand ferrari but dun really have money buy it. i'm a noob in this but here goes: I've conducted the Hardness and Impact Test lab session, and am required to write a report. The problem is they were 2 experiments with it's own sets of data, just conducted in the same session one after the other. How should I approach writing the report? The individual parts are mostly done already, i just can't decide to do it like under Results, should I put results for both experiments under the same 'Results' title, or have an entirely separate report for the other experiment, but attached to the same title page? The first time I used the SA building WiFi was a day before registration. I just connected and it didn't ask for any login information.
Few days after registration I tried to log into OWA but it kept showing me some weird website, and failed to bring me to the OWA page. Other pages loaded OK. Then i decided to delete the connection and reconnect. This time there was no way I could connect to the wifi. It said connected, but I couldn't reach the login page.
Went to IS. A guy came and diagnose. Found out it was my DNS (i used OpenDNS). He cleared it and I was able to install Bradford and proceed with using WiFi, complete with login page this time.
So... You might want to input both the following in your DNS address:
208.67.222.222 208.67.220.220
It might not work already, but still if you want to try something, this might be it.
Of coz if it screws wit anything dun come to me coz I dunno how to fix it myself. How using DNS servers will screw wit things, i dunno, but you know, just a disclaimer.
@yu_wang, you sure it won't prompt for Bradford Agent's presence after you've uninstalled it? Coz I'm not comfortable with the presense of some 'agent' looking over my shoulder...
Anyway, I've heard we get to learn foreign languages like Spanish and French on-campus. But so far the classes I've seen are Korean and Japanese offered by the respective societies. Where do I go to get info about the Spanish lessons? I heard they are conducted by the university?

^ As far as I know, it's impossible. The closest is webct, but that depends on whether the lecturer got upload stuff to it or not.

yeah it's possible, but subjected to availability. And you'll be paying UK fees. And graduating there.

lol ChemEng freshers' schedule so relax ler. They all busy become committee for clubs.
On the topic of busy schedules,
Can anyone give a preview of what's ahead in the Spring Semester for MechEng Yr1 and possibly during Yr2? This semester is pretty hectic in comparison with other engineering courses. I heard next sem will be as busy as now? Some say Yr2 will be even busier, some say more relax.

oou... This semester we have 7 labs (excluding the 4 workshop sessions).
Doing car jack poster at the moment. Lecturer showed some from last year.
Year 1 honeymoon ka... Rushing lab reports like crazy. Worst part is got scheduled 2 labs in 1 week, for 2 straight weeks! Maybe in terms of syllabus is still manageable la. But the scheduling still needs some getting used to, to stop the whining. Haha.

i bet if you wish the reconnect to the school wifi network, it will prompt you to install bradford again.

From my M3 handbook, direct copy from handbook: As a guide to the progression rules for Honours degree students, a flow chart is shown below. This should be taken as a guide only. Re-assessment of failed modules will take place either in August/September or in the following academic year as an external re-sit. If you have a significant number of re-assessments then you should consider carefully when these are to be taken. The University regulations only allow one re-assessment attempt and so it may be in your interests to delay your re-sit examination until the next academic session. It is important to note that if you have re-sits, for progression purposes, the better of the original and re-sit mark is used, but for calculating the degree classification the original mark is the one used even if it is a failed mark. This will also be the mark that appears on your final transcript. Therefore, it is in your interest to do your best at the very first attempt of any exam. In all cases both the original marks and those obtained on re-assessment are available to the Examiners’ Board. If you are unable to progress to the next stage of an Honours degree then it may be possible for you to transfer to the next stage of an Ordinary Degree course. The figure below summarises the rules for progression onto the Ordinary Degree. For this degree, you take 100 credits per year (instead of the 120 for the Honours Degree) and the weighted average is calculated over the best 100 credits worth of marks. Hope it helps. That is definitely integration by parts. In this case 2x will be the 'u', while e^2x is the 'dv'. If I'm correct you won't need to integrate a second time. Answer » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « The priority for which part is to be 'u' is as follows: 1) ln (x) 2) x 3) e^x or trigonometric function of x (sin x, cos x etc) This post has been edited by DJFoo000: Jan 2 2011, 11:36 PM

AFAIK China campus' engineering faculty did not participate in the exchange program, at least between China and Malaysia. And mechatronic students are not involved in the exchange program whatsoever. Probably coz they do not belong to a certain department definitively? This post has been edited by DJFoo000: Jan 9 2011, 12:18 AM
