Got through the first round of WSC pretty well, so here's round two.
Let's hope that I can keep the flag flying high after this round.

Hello people,

Just joined Lowyat, since I just returned to the region. (came back from Japan, currently living in Singapore, but was born and bred in Malaysian)

This was the first thread that caught my eye, so I guess this is my debut post. smile.gif

Right.
Glad to know you're familiar with Linux and lightweight WMs (instead of the usual Win7,Gnome,KDE,OSX).
I've seen some of your screenshots on this month's thread, and I must say I like your style a lot. I never knew you could make windows look like that (I haven't used Windows since 98, though).. Very impressive! smile.gif

I made the Openbox theme and GTK myself, so I'm not sure how you could port it to winXP.
The icon colours/gradients I just changed with a script.
I'm glad you like it. Here's a couple more for you; biggrin.gif

This one is on the same netbook.

Different netbook, same OpenBox WM but running Gentoo distro.

Thanks, I used to install Linux distros for fun back in high school [which was like 2 years ago] and I loved playing around with WMs. Distros like Mint to even Puppy, man, I spent hours playing around before I got into modding wink.gif

Thanks, there's a lot more room for custo on Linux I suppose but I've not had the time to really dive deeper. smile.gif

Litestep / BB4Win should get you going. Both are replacement shells and with the right themes you'll be pretty good to achieve that, it should be a piece of cake, or somewhere close to that.
