do you guys realize the devastation left by this time bug?

I believe the majority of PS3 owners (someone on NeoGAF quoted 2/3 of all users) are using the FAT PS3 model -- I'm sure not all of them go online. This means that their machine is practically worthless if they can't do/ don't know how to do, a firmware update.

This is a disaster, and could end up costing Sony millions. And this was suppose to be Sony's month too with all their blockbuster games being released.

Everything will be automagically ok tomorrow

If they can't do/don't know how to do, then they should get someone with a USB drive/learn how to do. I don't blame Sony at all, with the complexities of hardware, programming, firmware and server support/upgrade/maintenance, I never expected anything to be perfect (and if anyone thinks it should be, you're deluded). A day or two of lost gaming time won't kill you. Watch some movies, do some reading (like for those guys.. learning how upgrade firmware) or just chill out somewhere

Just as long as it has a 95% reliability and uptime, it's fine with me. This event is just part of the 5% acceptable allowable downtime I tolerate for a free service.

Now if Streamyx were to go down like this.... that would be more of an uproar than this.

80GB Satin Silver MY CECHL06SS user here. Thank god it's still running. Tried to sync trophies with server. So far okay. Hopefully new firmware will be released later to solve all the problems!

kalau clock time ps3 fat xde masalah psn bole login cam biasa.

disebabkan clock bug la sume masalah nih jadi.

I'm more worried of PS3 owners who lives in rural areas that still uses 56k modem or having no internet connection at all, I bet they all goes WTF right now.
Or kids having no knowledge of what happening, thinking the only way to solve it to take it to their local game shop that would rip off their daddy's wallet.
This is BIG f*ck up on sony console developers. I hope someone gets fired for this
