Hi all,
I'm in the middle of finalizing on which technology to buy LED / LCD or Plasma. I know Plasma has the edge over LED / LCD if the main use is for
watching ASTRO, DVD movies and occasionally some gaming because of its capabilities to demonstrate black scenes / areas well over LED / LCD and most importantly
nice for fast moving pictures like football and racing games from the gaming console.
However, the choices for Plasma these days are pretty much limited to HD ready and only available in Full HD on 50" and above. I have made comparison (through naked eye) and found that basically the difference between plasma and LCD and HD ready vs Full HD on Blu-ray is marginal and most of the time one may not see
a major difference. However, if the source is ASTRO, then Plasma has the edge over LCD / LED.
From my own observation, I somehow find that the LED / LCD is a little brighter compared to Plasma and I think LED / LCD is good for brightly lit area while Plasma
is excellent for a not so bright enviroment and gentle to the eye in such scenerio. And I think the viewing distance too play a part in demonstrating which is better.
I've been going through this forum on the debate / discussion on Plasma vs LCD and some prefers LCD while others on Plasma. Basically, it is a personal choice or
preference and also our budget available to get one. I have thought of Plasma but models available are mostly HD ready and I wish to get a Full HD. And for my budget
to acquire a Full HD one, then it'll be a LCD instead. But my head tells me to go for a HD Ready Plasma.
So guys, I really need some ideas / suggestion to assist me to finalize the decision. LCD or Plasma. BTW, LED technology is definitely out of my budget. I just wanna be sure that if I do go for a HD ready Plasma, I will not regret in the coming months that why I did not choose a Full HD LCD because of ...blah...blah...blah...
Thanks in advance.
