Hey guys, i am taking F4 this sitting. My lecturer said its a must to memorise sections of the act, while i saw Guide that it is not necessary to quote section numbers. so which is it ?

Kinda depends...I passed my F4(77 somore tongue.gif) without quoting much of those case law and section numbers BUT most probably you are expected to know some basic case laws and sections(eg. s.20 of Company's Act, Carbolic Smoke Co. case etc.)
I mean remembering one or two main sections of the law wouldn't hurt much

so that is why i asked. instead of using time to memorise something that isn't needed, the time could be used in better ways. Looks like nobody here is capable of giving me a definite answer.

I'll put it this way, as someone mentioned earlier, the section will bring u probably 0.5 to 1 marks. So if you think you can afford to lose that amount of marks in order to study and memorise other things which (hopefully) can compensate that marks that you are losing, then by all means go ahead.

Just my opinion because I didn't pay much attention to the smaller section and instead focus on the facts of the case, and I am able to pass with satisfactory marks smile.gif

Guys can any of you clarify that ACCA will not be doing any graduation anymore? Since the last seating of graduates they didn't throw any graduation, or is it a one off thingy?

Really sad if they didn't organise any graduation as I am looking forward to one of the proudest moment of my life. It will be sad if I don't have any graduation photos with my family...

Checked it out. ACCA has stopped graduation indefinitely. Because they are more focussed on converting the Affiliates to full members. Apparently there are a high number of ACCA grads that dont file their PER so theyre using the budget to hold sum kinda meet up between members and affiliates in sum sorta focus to encourage the affiliates to be more proactive in attaining their membership.

But if you are a member of a tuition centre, im pretty sure they have their own grad ceremonies. I finished up mine in Sunway, hence im going to be attending the Sunway ACCA Convo smile.gif

That means if people like me who often jump to those small colleges around KL or self study would not have a graduation...Sigh.. Now I'm thinking of taking one paper in Sunway or some bigger colleges just to get a proper nice graduation.

DAMN YOU ACCA!!!! Increase fees then still cut cost!!! I felt cheated. cry.gif
