Hi all smile.gif

I'm thinking of visiting Hokkaido end of the year, tentative date Dec 1 - Dec 9. Will it be too freezing cold then? Shouldn't be snowing yet right? Will be going on our own, not following tour, so I expect we will be outdoors most of the time.

I checked the info at Japan Guide website, says 2 to -4 degrees, will that be too cold to stay outdoors throughout the day?

Will stay in Sapporo. Also any recommendations of affordable hotels or hostels in Sapporo?

What about Otaru? Is it worth to stay overnight there? Or sufficient just to make a day trip to Otaru?

Many thanks in advance.

oic, thx smile.gif
Saw in the weather forecast there'll be rain on this Thur and Fri in Tokyo.
What's winter rain in Jpn like? It's more like light rain or drizzle right?
Afraid if it rains heavily, I'll be cooped up in the hotel cry.gif
