QUOTE(silbizkit @ Apr 12 2011, 02:30 PM)
Ohio minna...

Me and my friend already planned since last year to go to Japan for 5 days, 1 month from now (mid may). Hotel already booked and will stay at ueno. But we still not sure want to proceed or to cancel our trip. Since there are still aftershock and heard that the radiation got worsen. The train still not working very smooth and also water/food problem.

Would like to ask you guys opinion if its better to cancel or proceed....especially to whom that is currently in japan?
We plan to go Tokyo area, mt. fuji and probably tokyo disneysea.

Im currently at Tokyo. My Tokyo colleagues basically say everything in Tokyo area is fine. Wind direction is currently blowing radiation away, but of course this is subject to change any time. Aftershocks is normal in Tokyo, occur a few times in a day, but barely noticable la, except for the one in 11/Mar.

Hi guys, anyone here applied for Japanese Visa lately?
Anyone had any problem? My family is applying for Visa, which will take 2-3 days, but i worried that price of air tickets will increase meantime. Dont know whether should i take the risk to buy the tickets now while waiting for the Visa approval.

Planned travel date is end of June.

Thanks for the reply guys smile.gif. Most probably gonna book em already.

Also, anyone here has any experience of bringing in more guest than actually allowed in a hotel room? Meaning 1 room but 2 or 3people staying inside. Do they check regularly for these kind of stuff?

Thanks for the advice people smile.gif.
Unfortunately i have no choice due to the expensive price. I'll be going there to work, but i would like my family members to experience life in Tokyo as well as to sightsee. It isnt a justification of why i should do it tho.
