Normally Tour Is 7 Days.

Shall Extend More? For BackPack?

How Many Days More To Extend?

Please Advice.
*
Normal packaged tour is about 7 days 5 night too, so its depends on your plan. Which place do you have in mind that you wanted to visit for longer time? like maybe my fren he wanted to spend 2 days in disneyland hmm.gif and personally i will spend more time in kyoto or maybe akihabara, slowly walk though every place and visit the maid cafes brows.gif This is the advantage of backpack, no time limitation.

So it is up to your own planning, do you have particular place that you wanted to visit? smile.gif

any comment from forumer here?

lol last time mentioned the advantage of backpack, now lets talk about the advantages of following a tour. If this is your first time, you might consider following a tour. They know the place better.

-Money. I notice that following a tour is actually cheaper, here is a tour organized by my sensei recently, 6.3k covered two airticket, two shinkansen ticket(each rm500), disneyland ticket, all transport fees, hotel/homestay fees, tips( you need not to pay tips anymore), most of the meals, visa will help you apply..etc
Of course you will be spending more money than this, to buy omiyage...etc. However I think you will be spending less money and time if this is your first time visiting japan.
-Time. Following a tour is quite pack, so you can visit a lot of places. You mentioned you wanna utilize your time in japan, they utilized it for you laugh.gif

The new skyliner is 2400yen, up from the previous 1920yen. The old skyliner enters service as the CityLiner, MorningLiner and EveningLiner, all at 1920yen.

Me? I'm cheap. I would take the JR Sobu Rapid maybe 1000yen (approx) to Tokyo Sta. The Keisei Line Express is also around 1000yen.
*
wow thats cheap...i was expecting higher price O O

btw is advisable to use other transportation like bus? in order to avoid the cost of shinkansen.
I was thinking that we can see more scenery, save money....etc if we travel with bus hmm.gif

The major bus station in Tokyo is in Shinjuku Sta I think. Taking bus does not give you better scenery than train - highways are dull and there is the definite possibility of traffic jams during peak periods like Golden Week and Obon.

One reason you may want to take an overnight bus from Tokyo to say, the Kansai area, is to save on one night's hotel by sleeping on the bus. Otherwise I think it's a waste of time.
*
I see, never thought of taking overnight bus to save hotel money hmm.gif
If non-peak season, usually how long does it take to travel using bus?

QUOTE(tanoshi @ Jun 25 2010, 07:50 AM)
Definitely travel with train or shinkansen huhuhu!
