The last time I updated my firmware, my phone was totally formatted, still I got backup then. Then this time I do the same thing first before update my firmware again but what you know? After the update was finish, I was expecting a new phone with no software, then when I check all the software is still intact...cool ! the new firmware is very smart now. err.....that works on my E72...I dont know whether its a smart firmware or not...so backup first ok

I am new E72 user. Lot of questions to ask cos I am new to smart/business phone. Before this I was using mobilephone for sms and calling only. Never beyond that.

1. How to disable my 3G?
2. How to update my phone to the latest firmware?
3. How to get Garmin software and use it in my phone?
4. I set up my gmail as my phone email account and my phone indicate as gmail(2). Why is that so and how can I rename it?
5. Can anyone suggest me the best application/game for E72? Currently I have Skype installed only.
6. Can I change the application short cut on my phone 'desktop'.
7. Do I need to let ovimap installed in my phone after getting garmin? Can I just uninstall it?
8. Hmm.. nothing else for now..


Sorry if I am asking too many question. I have misplaced my phone manual on the 1st day I bought my phone. And now am a bit clueless.

Just fyi, I am using celcom broadband for my phone. Am afraid if I setup wrongly, I will be charged per usage basis.

Hope my fellow E72 friends can help me out.

Asking me to hold 2 E72? It would be real silly then

1. y? no 3g = no mms, no email, no skype, unless u got wide wifi coverage la.. to disable: from homescreen>menu>web>option>setting>general>access point>always ask
2. use ovi suite to update lor..remember to backup and during update remove ur mcard
3. it is not free but there is a way to make it do..{dont ask me how}
4. memang like tat 1 ma.. wat u wan to rename to?

1. That's what I was trying to tell. Cos in my house and office got wifi coverage. Plus in most major shopping complex, fast food restaurant and mamak got wife these days. Can the connection auto change from 3G to wifi if there's a wifi coverage? This will help me to jimat data usage. Why la kena capped.. haizz...

2. The problem is, I couldn't find where ovi suite is located . How to backup?

3. I knew that. But no idea how it can be done. How much is the cost for legal Garmin software?

4. I wanna make gmail without the (2). It annoys my eye. Or perhaps I want to change it to my email name. Btw, can I setup more than 1 email? If yes, how to do that?

1. if so then y still use 3g in ur celcom.. ur celcom better get a 38 bolt on package unlimited wa..
- Power tool is different. it's like you get the braodband for free. RM148 is counted for voice/video call, sms and mms. Plus, the rate is cheap too

2. ovi suite need to install de ma.. it is available in nokia website..jus download, to backup.. jus connect ur phone, on ovi suite and go to tool and backup
