Hey,

We are looking for sponsors to get our Gaming Society (University of Nottingham) sponsored for either a tournament or the whole year (every event is gonna have your ad. in our posters), we are expecting a turnout of around 500 students.

Any help (contacts, suggestions etc.) will be appreciated.

Mobeen Rasheed,
Founder, UNMC Gaming Society

I don't think finding sponsors here are possible, do you ever think those big company would ever look at forums? What they want are, your presentations to them, what you want to do and what benefits them (most important because we are in money lands), that's what i could think of at the moment, so i hope you actually wraps up everything and think of a better way to look for sponsors, finding 1 online is a nono and i think it's the immatures way to look for one, not insulting or anything, it's just what i thought.

turnout of 500 students is very unlikely for PES/FIFA but if games like cod4 or cs 1.6 are added that might be possible.

i would suggest, instead of promoting one game, multiple-games would help to attract more student-gamers.

well, you know not all people like the same game laugh.gif

Choose sponsors based on the games you choose or choose games based on the sponsors you choose.

E-club Malaysia - CS, L4D, L4D2 or any valve game
New Era - Activision
SMM - Blizzard
TSB - EA Games

As a college community, you could also approach companies like Intel or AMD, depending on who provides the pc's to your college/university.
A solid year-long proposal should be sufficient, although you might want to look at web-development and database development to attract more people over a long term basis.
Work together with online media such as spotgamers.com and multiplay to extend coverage on your event.

Most sponsors prefer to provide in kind rather than cash, so sometimes, you'll need other methods to gain cash.

Hope this helps.
