Hi Lawyer and Legal Expert,

I have 2 questions:

1.When should i pay the stamp duty of SnP? Is it during signing SnP or when the consent received by land office when they provided Memorandum of Transfer? Even if the consent fail to be obtain do I burn my Stamp Duty? Please advise

2. I saw in one of the forum mentioned that strata title could be transfered from developer to seller and simultaneously from seller to buyer, for sub-sales case which strata title had been issues 4yrs ago but the seller has not claim it yet. Is it true it can be done simultaneously to buyer or it by stages meaning from developer to seller 1st then only from seller to buyer? Please advise as the vendor lawyer said they wanted to do like that.thanks

Looking forward advise for any legal expert and lawyer in this forum. Thanks.

1. The stamp duty of s&p is paid when your s&p has been submited to adjustication and LHDN will issue a notice about the amount, roughly about a month later.

2. It depends on the developer. I have a condo which transfered directly into my name without transfering to the seller.
