Hello guys,

My front stock tyres are already balding and therefore I have been doing some research on replacements. Currently the Hankook Ventus V12 EVO caught my attention because users have given it good reviews on performance and price (Quite affordable) and also because its directional tread pattern looks sexy haha.

However, online research revealed that the v12 doesn't come in our Persona's 195/60/R15 size. The closest sizes are 195/55/R15 and 195/50/R15.

My question is, how will using the 195/55/R15 and 195/50/R15 sizes affect our cars performance? Any light on the matter?

Thanks in advance.

because the width and diameter stay the same and only thickness of the tires are different, your rides should be less comfort. That's all.

Not only not comfortable issues... Your speedometer also not accurate on reading which will become faster than actual speed 5kph+-

Thanks guys...i switched my tyres front to back and vice-versa. what i initially wanted to know is whether it is ok to run with different diameter tyres at the front compared to the back but i was advised otherwise after some research online.

Thanks alot for your assistance...

I was also wondering why some of you did ATF oil change quite early on, some @20,000 or 30,000 km. Any reason why? Because I'm @42,000 km currently and the SC hasn't recommended an ATF oil change..I think the SC dude recommended me to change @50,000 km.

Btw, I'm also thinking of changing my tyres soon. I'm leaning more towards affordable performance type of tyres e.g. Hankook, Michelin, Yokohama but most of them don't come in persona tyre size 195/60R15. I recently checked out Hankook V8RS at ~RM 200 a piece (but must trade-in all 4 tyres) and would like some feedback on using those tyres. Anyone here on Hankook V8? and is the price i'm offered considered good?

Thanks abunch.

Dear all,

Can anyone share the breakdown of their 40k service? it seems that my usual SC is charging RM 300 for it...key items include:

1. Semi syn oil RM 100
2. Spark plugs RM 38
3. Labour charges Rm 100

I'm thinking the labour charges are abit steep aren't they? So I'm seeking your opinion to benchmark the labour costs amongst other SCs.

Thanks in advance...

I see...but the moment you send your car to outside SC means you void warranty right? My SC is charging RM 100 for the labour charges, for those who sent their rides to Proton SC, how much were you charged for labour? is RM 100 reasonable?
