To me the bootlid garnish seems the same but somehow Proton has a different Part no. for Persona Elegance & the price is RM 146.41. The centre panel comes separate from the HU & cost RM85.02. Other prices NA yet

if just want the housing, can actually already get at outside market. even brothers sell it. for double din casing, it's rm90 if not mistaken. there's 1 forumer in automotive garage selling many item. he also carries single din and double din casing for persona. less than rm100

I am not sure about this, but last time I heart from sc that if using full synthetic oil is 10K, others is 5K, if u r not using full synth oil, it might void the warranty.

Recently I went to 227 sc and I have ask the mechanic about the different between full synth , semi synth and normal mineral oil. He told me that actually full synth is for those country that have 4 season like winter. Because if their car parking outside, when they wake up at the morning, the snow might cover up their car, and that's why their need full synth oil for their engine for easy start their car and ,sometime the temperature will down to minus degree and the oil will freeze and if using mineral oil might hard to start the car.

So for our country, it is not recommend to use full synth oil, I am not sure is this true or not. Anyone sifu here can rectify this?

i'm thinkin of upgrading my audio player to Sony CD with USB player
that cost me rm469 for player and rm99 for single din casing.
Any comments on this sony player? How about the casing? anyone use it before?

Yea if wanna maintain more less stock internals etc.... light pressure turbo will be alright. and ermm.... cost factor to add this would be a factor. hahahaha.....

just make sure when u refill it with water... the coolant is not too over diluted already. cuz u might need to add more coolant instead of water. and ermm..... i prefer FILTERED water cuz you know la, our tap water contains a lot of unseen crap. Filtered water is better.

Key plugged into ignition hole. Twist to on. Hear the fuel pump operating for about 2 seconds. Twist to engine start.

Do you guys actually do this? Or just key plug in, immediately twist all the way to start engine without waiting.

Some said need to wait for 2-3 seconds before starting to lengthen the fuel pump lifespan or somesort...

just went for first 1000km servise, kena charge around rm 148 ...oil 99, gearbox oil 40 , and few small item ..and that technician pour all 4 liter oil ..is that good for engine ? @_@

and what the hell with free service labour fee coupon ? most of the shop i see state there its free even tho without the proton coupon ...

dont know car dont talk maaa.... it is advisable to change auto gear oil on fist 1000km...

Can anyone share the breakdown of their 40k service? it seems that my usual SC is charging RM 300 for it...key items include:

1. Semi syn oil RM 100
2. Spark plugs RM 38
3. Labour charges Rm 100

I'm thinking the labour charges are abit steep aren't they? So I'm seeking your opinion to benchmark the labour costs amongst other SCs.

I'm not so sure, but based on my experiance, i changed to 205 from 215
bcos the inner tyre will rub the splash shield aka daun pisang. This happen
with original suspension. I dont dare to lowered the height unless upgrade
the abs to after market abs.

anyone can answer me? how is ur rev riming when idle? mine 1k rpm..is it high?
