Here are list that i'm going to do:
change rear lights to facelifted version
Change side mirror to facelifted version (i prefer safety than style)
change boot lit to facelifted version
add rear, side skirt to facelifted version and front skirt to SE version.
change to 32-bit ECU (if they allow)

hope overall doesnt cost that much. smile.gif

Hmmm.... so basically now all persona will be replaced with the new facelift? Meaning the old persona now discontinued?  cry.gif
On the bright side, for those that ordering the facelift at least the m-line that comes with the steering audio controller, do tell us whether the button also can work when plugging in the USB? I've been trying to ask my nearby car accessory shop about any radio unit with usb-support that can use back persona's steering control, all say no  doh.gif
*
well, my alpine HU do works on my steering control but need to add a module which cost 300-400 for chapalang brand (wireless and wired type), if original alpine module would cost more than that thats for sure. I didn't install those module since i have a remote control which provided by the HU, by adding 300-400 for the module just to use my steering control would not be worth it for me. tongue.gif

Any B line owners fitted original Proton trunk lid liner or custom made liners / padding / sound proof???

I am gonna custom made mine soon... So before that, i just want to have a look at others. Because i asked my local Proton outlet and was quoted that i need to place order to import it from HQ and it will cost RM200.00 which i think is too costly. So alternative comes into place now.

gez, i didnt know B-Line does not comes with those padding things, i'm looking for a plastic boot tray, is there a boot tray that fit nicely for persona? i checked with the SC, only BLM has the boot tray to sell. And also looking for a storage box to put in my boot to store those emergency kit and tool kits.

mine already 45,000 km (2008 Oct), fuel consumption around 1L = 14 ~ 15km, or, RM 1 = 7.8km ~ 8.5km

*** The meter always show 5.4L = 100km, which i think is out by 20%. The car itself is same like the Proton company, always main tipu-tipu punya...

============================================================================
my rear light plastic cover pecah already, i wonder is it possible to replace the cover alone..

the whole rear light set (right side) cost RM 187.62, aduh  sad.gif

really strange, no scratch on chassis but somehow the lampu pecah....

its sign for u to change a new facelifted rear light smile.gif anyway, care to tell what engine oil are u using now?

I need not check prices from Proton. I am fed latest prices from them automatically regularly. I cannot reveal my idendity or my source as prices are highly sensitive matters.  All I can share is that base on the info. I received, there are two versions of the Rear Lamp for the Persona Enhancement.  LED & Bulb versions.  The price I mentioned earlier is for the bulb versions.  LED versions cost even more @ RM 709.56 each.

Personally, I find the LED versions very expensive as the LED module itself cost RM248.81. If I opt to change mine, I may just change to the bulb versions (minus the bulb holders) because the lamp without the bulb holder is cheaper - RM388.91 each. So far, still no price for the Door mirrors.

sweet, we got lubang to check prices for the persona parts laugh.gif do update us when u got the price for the door mirror and also help me to check the prices for the new bootlid and skirting please? thanks mate. rclxms.gif

Test drove the new car AT M-Line, here's what i think for the comparison:

- NVH is indeed slight better than the old one, the engine sound is quieter than my M-Line even i did the soundproofing.
- freaking cool instrumental meter, i like the red light needle part and dimming part.
- break still remain unchange, spongy.....
- handling is still the same except my streering starting got cracking sound (sigh)
- power, i found it the old one has more power, maybe because facelifted is a new car (not seasoned yet) and my M-line is MT tongue.gif
- chiffon green first colour that makes me drool about it biggrin.gif
- new side rear mirror is huge compare to old one! reduced a lot of blindspot.
- AC kompressor quieter than old one smile.gif

if you guys try to notice, the facelifted AC pipe is different with the old one.

picture above is the old model version, when u test drive the persona elegance, try to open the engine bay and check the same red spot with the above picture, u will know what i mean smile.gif wanna ask the SA about the difference about that but he seems doesnt know much about technical from the very beginning when he intro the car, so i'll just ask my favourable SC manager when i going for my next 10k service smile.gif

from what i think so far, persona really has a bad wiring(grounding is very bad), even their facelifted version, i still think they has some bad wiring as well compare with others car, especially they putting a noisiness/powerful kompressor which will make the power lag (it's so obvious and it's very annoying everytime it kicks in) and i see a lot of persona (near to 50%) on the road the rear light always only 3 red bulb lighting up(usually 4), plus the automatic transmission is not responsive at all. So if possible, i highly recommend it to install VS with 5 grounding kits. We got a few persona owner who installed the VS+5 grounding kits, makes a lot of difference for the smoothness, not to mention it improved the fc as well.

QUOTE(vson @ Mar 29 2010, 01:21 AM)
how old is your car? if your car is 2-3yrs then don't waste money to install it... coz you won't feel any difference due to the car wiring is still new.
on the other hand, if your car often burn light bulb or car light will dim when your air-con is on or you had install audio system / sub woofer, then you r advance to install the Pivot Mega Raizin. make sure you buy the main unit together with 5pcs of ground wire. you will only maximize the pivot mega raizin with those additional 5pcs wire. good luck.

hi guys. i need  icon_question.gif . I just DIY install the OEM rear boot lid padding yesterday evening after work. Yes, mine is B-Line dun come with such padding like M and H lines.

Can you guys check my photos of the rear boot lid padding and tell me if i am missing any spots to place the metal clips? Because i tried finding it but seem like no more holes on the pad to plug in my clips. So right now i have 2 spare metal clips left. Kindly advise if i am missing any out. Please check urs against mine.

quote me all the items below the list:

1. Elegance rear side mirror
2. Elegance side skirt (left, right and back)
3. SE front skirt
4. Elegance Boot tray
5. Elegance rear LED lamp light
6. Elegance instrument cluster meter
7. Elegance boot spoiler

that's all i guess smile.gif

for M-Line/B-Line users, for the spongy braking system issue, i suggest u guys better fixed your rear brake drum for top priority, for those that has 'tak tak' sound, go SC to fixed it, for those who still havent had the 'tak tak' sound but still spongy, also better go SC to fixed it as well. My 'nanako' used to be very spongy brake and with 'tak' sound, but after let the SC completely fixed my rear brake drum (went 2 times), the brake system became very makan than it used to be. The SC will ask the outside vendors to fixed the rear brake, need to takes the whole day. What did they fixed it i'm not sure as i did ask the manager about it but he himself wasnt on the spot to check it for me, so yea is still a mystery there. Overall, as long as they fixed the 'tak' sound, i'm a happy person smile.gif but they just made my brake system even more makan, i'm a uber happy person biggrin.gif i'm still using the stock brake pad so i might change it a better one for probably next couples of week. Most of you guys knows which SC that i used to went, so what r u waiting for, better get it fix now! But of coz call them in advance first to let them make appointment with their vendor. thumbup.gif thumbup.gif
