Hi Hypro, which SC you visit to install the orifice valve?? I did went to the Jln 227 PJ SC while mentioned this things in 1 month back they said they never heard of such things! suck~

I need to service for my 10K mileage already, since the Jln 227 is closing down then need to find another SC which near around PJ. Can you share how the orifice valve will be install anything i need to mention specifically in order to get the consultant understand my concerns on the knocking sound remedy.
*
Oh I just received their email yesterday and they already claim for me the orifice valve and the boot actuator and ready for me to install it, if I got time to visit them on this saturday I will take a picture of the orifice valve. I actually claim from Jln 227 SC, I have call them up and didn't heard anything about closing. But in at the same area, which close to Honda service center there,I think it should be Jln 225, there is a Proton SC also, I went there before I go to Jln 227, at Jln 225 SC really close up, I am not sure it is the one you mention.

My foreman also said like that.... or your hydroulic tappet / latch will start knocking like mine.... he also recommend engine oil 15w/50 or 20w/50.

Anyone here can give some explanation.....
*
Currently I am using 15w/ 40 and feel it very smooth compare to semi sync is 10w/40 both also not much different, just different in prices tongue.gif

Hi Guys, last weekend I went back to PJ 227 to install the orifice valve and my boot actuator. The orifice valve is just a small plastic tube, and they put inside the steering oil pipe, that's all. The process is less than 5mins can gaodim the installation, is very fast and now my car really don't have such funny "klink klank klok" sound anymore rclxms.gif rclxms.gif and this things is free no charge.

For the boot actuator, after they have install the new set of actuator, they found out that actually the boot lock is too tight and that's why it can't use my remote to open the boot. They have spend more time on the boot lock and after nearly 2 hours trying, my boot remote are functioning now thumbup.gif thumbup.gif thumbup.gif I think is more than 1 year I didn't use it anymore and now finally it can function back. They have put some oil and vaseline into it to make it more smooth in order to let the actuator pull the lock to open it.

I have attached the orifice valve picture to share with all of you, that orifice valve is just a small tube only, but it solve the problem icon_rolleyes.gif

i have tried explaining this orific valve to my SC they seem to have no idea about this and according to them even Proton dont know how to rectify the klok klok sound..
*
Em.... maybe is the SC problem, because this orifice valve is claim by my SC, so I think Proton should know about it, event Serdang n Tmn Midah SC also have such installation for this orifice valve. So should be no excuse that Proton dun know about this.

so inserting that small valve means have to drain all the power steering fluid??....
*
No need, when the mechanic install it, he pull out the pipe, after insert the orifice valve he just insert the pipe back, that's it.

*
Normally I will wait until the seat belt light go off, then only start the engine. But if I am in hurry, I dun care tongue.gif

Handling I can say it is better than Vios or City, but I never try Altis.

But in terms of power it need a lot of mod to make it better whistling.gif

ok i just sharing this story since it happens to my dad's fren and i was there when this shit happen

My dad's fren sent his BLM to this sc for 1k service. Leave the car there. He got called up saying that all done, he can pick his car.
Then he go, paid, start the car and driove off.

If u notice there is a new roundabout to jln cheras, bandar tun razak, KL, just after tmn midah
He said, when he stop there, he see some white smoke coming out. But he dunno coming from where so he just drive.
He said maybe due to lorry in front.

After he reach dbkl flat traffic light, at jln cheras, his car stalled and alot of smoke coming out from the hood.
He calls my dad, my dad and i straight go there to help him. When i was there, i realize there nothing much i can help so we call our regular mechanic at Caltex there to come and check it.

This mech said, there is no sign of ENGINE OIL in the engine, only the leftover. He check underneath of the car, the screw is bolt on. No leaking.

After the car has been towed, we drive back to the sc and ask. They admit they forgot to pour in the new ENGINE OIL. Can u imagine that? SC personnel said they FORGOT sweat.gif

So this my dad's fren ask them, so how now? They said will check first all the damage and this guy argue coz it's not his fault and he demand a full details of the report and inspection.
Burn seal, dented piston and so on. I forget about it coz too many sweat.gif
So now he still waiting for the approval of the new engine, from proton.
*
Even thought they admit that they forgot to put the engine oil, but this is our own car man, so many things burn out, got all claim also feel not nice already, unless they replace it with a brand new car, then it is fine.

yeah its elegance unit..auto M line......i also wondering..but she say is brand new..from factory..but now proton's policy..u need to settle all payment..only can deliver the car to ur branch
*
I think you should wait for your color, I have the same situation like you when they call me to ask is it ok with others colors. Usually when they can't get the color accordingly and they afraid will wait too long then customer to keep chasing them, and they will try to ask around see which brand got car then grap from others brand. So maybe that you can not see it in their show room.

SA always got thousand of million excuse to persuade you, because once you sign for the car you can not turn back already.
