DJ MARKET TALK: Straits Asia May Slip; FY09 Below Forecast - GS

0040 GMT [Dow Jones] Straits Asia Resources (AJ1.SG) may slip after FY09 results come in below expectations. Thermal coal mining company reports FY09 net profit +7.3% on-year to US$134 million. But Goldman Sachs says result was 13% below broker's own forecast and 7% below consensus on weaker than expected production volumes. Says, "with disappointing production volumes, we expect the market to react negatively." Broker warns that future production may also disappoint market given less efficient temporary measures to load coal at Jembayan mine after it suffered failure of conveyor and load out facility late last year, potential delays in re-zoned Sebuku mine. Maintains Sell call with S$2.00 price target. Shares closed down 0.9% at S$2.14 yesterday; pre-open quotes show buying interest clustered around S$2.00-S$2.04. (KIG)

Expecting good results or bonus issue on the way ?

Results should be good, but it always move up during earning season, then drop back to around 0.80 after that
Should have take Jason's advice last quarter and sell it at 0.9X, then buy back later.
