Hi there. I fixed my Xbox 360 from 3ROD, turned it on and played Halo 3 for a while. Around 20 minutes later or so, the xbox got 2 Red Lights (overheat) and it went off. I used Zalman thermal compound, with 2 washers between the heatsink and CPU/GPU chips. Is there any way to fix it? And btw, one of my fan is not rotating... Will notebook cooler pad work? If it does, suggestion?

EDIT: My Xbox 360's FAN WIRE connection has been cut off, and the wire attached to the plug is way too short (less than 5mm) to reconnect it back. Is there any way to fix it? Or can i buy a new plug somewhere? Any suggestion? I will post the picture down there so you can see how stupidly the wire has broken out.

you need to fix back the fan. the notbook cooler will work as a suppliment of the exhaust fan but cannot replace it's role.

How do i fix the fan? I looked at the plug, and the copper colored wire that I have told you in the previous section has been cut off, so there is total 3 wires there, and i don't have any experience about changing the wire, and I don't know where i can fix it. Suggestion? P.S 1 fan make so much difference?

I tot it's relatively easy to solder back the cable. huhuhu....

and yes, 1 fan makes big difference as older xbox's internal is working in the edge of balance.

jasper might not that significant if it lost 1 fan but I'm yet to try or want to try one.
