I see the tutorial on applying thermal paste and it's scary.. can it go wrong? Am afraid if I D.I.Y.. then anything go wrong, I won't be able to claim warranty. Do they any shops provide this service?

I feel you bro, but I think its worth trying~
Try on older laptops 1st smile.gif
It won't go wrong, just try not to spill the thermal paste, but I doubt you would since its so viscous laugh.gif

don't apply too much or too little paste.. try with a little 1st.. check ur temp.. if not ok try to remove it use alcohol if no mistake.. test again.. then re-paste with slightly more than 1st try-out!

Buying new laptop and wanted to repaste? Do you get the idea of repasting in the first place? Its only necessary if your laptop is old (few years when the paste is harden) or after you disassemble the cooling system for cleaning.

Laptop won't physically melt. You have to drop it in blast furnace to melt it biggrin.gif But using it at elevated temperature (close to its TjMax, somewhere above 90C) would reduce the component lifespan. But still it will last quite few years even with that, laptop component are made to tolerate heat even more than desktop

Hey guys! Which laptop cooler would you recommend for an Acer 5750G? The temperature reaches 95 deg C when I play Starcraft 2.

My budget is 170 RM.
