my laptop is very hot right now.
so i decide to go for d.i.y cooler laptop..

maybe u2 is not good enaogh for me..

DIY coolers basically enables the user to place the fan at the appropriate (hot places/vents).... U2 does exactly that with the removable and adjustable fans, why not? laugh.gif
Anyway, you won't be able to reduce 10 degrees+, its not possible for a normal cooler pad

What about an elevation on the laptop? Like from a battery, like the Dell 9 cells? I've heard it's the best way, but it's awkward to add a cooler to an elevated laptop.

Here's my cheapest solution. I get this from my friend 3 fan cheap laptop cooler, the fan is dead and he wanted to throw them away so I take then, remove the fan and rotate them as such

The 4 legs acts as a lifter to the laptop so it will give sufficient air to the bottom of the laptop to allow it to breathe. I use it as such (because its on my bed I pointing it upward from behind)

Pictures quality aren't so good but you get the picture. This are my best solution that don't use any money at all. Easy, free and noiseless and no vibration whatsoever. My laptop is cool to begin with so I quite happy with it smile.gif

Why? It facing me. Its the same idea as sunken hinge, it makes the screen faces you, in this it makes the laptop faces you. Try it.
