For ASUS A52J notebook, should I reapply themo paste after 3 years.
Only lately I feel my notebook is very hot! I open up the fan look not dusty. However Speedfan recorded below temperature : Core1 : 73c Core0 : 73c When I play game it shot up to 80c .... It worry me alot..... Is these normal? Same goes to my sister Toshiba NB305. It get even hotter!!!! Should get the themo paste changed? I just using a normal laptop cooling fan but that don't seem to help much. Maybe planing to try buy U3. Here today temperature. This post has been edited by yurayong: Oct 14 2013, 10:08 PM |

Yipee, finally after see this guide : You Tube in Russian I learn how to pull out my a52J asus notebook internal fan. (Good job ASUS, design it for easy maintenance without pull all the rest of the parts in order to clean the fan). Wow so many dusk there!!! Clean it with a usb vacum for cleaning pc. Less than RM20 type or those that come with free gift when you buy your notebook. Manage to bring the temperature down by 10C Guess won't change the themol paste yet. Perhaps will consider trying U3 cooling pad! |

So far all 3 my notebook running very cool and quiet
My Dell Vostro (Core i3) run at 37*c idle My MacBook Pro 13 (Core i5) run at 47-50*c idle My Compaq V3500 AMD run at 50*c idle and this compaq still run awesome today while alot of forumers complaint this notebook overheat and dead... what I do is I always have a can of AIR Duster (Buy from Ace hardware) around RM35-55 1-3 month I will blow the fan and ventilation hole (Keyboard included) to blow dust away and so far all my device is running at awesome condition... dont even need a cooler... So far long run spending around RM50 for a Duster save alot of $$$... |

Hi everyone, I just got my first laptop (y510p) and I'm really new so please do suggest a suitable cooling pad.
I bought CM A200 (for mobility) but found that it's not cooling enough for serious gaming. Should I go for the CM X3 or CM U3 next? If I'm looking for the best cooling performance, should I go for the CM Storm SF-19? Thanks |

The cooling effect of the Cooler Master U2 Plus is abysmal at best. Very weak air flow rate. Totally overrated.
Anything with much better airflow rate below RM100 for a 15.6" laptop? p/s: Noticed the Notepal A200 which seems to be quite good. Dual 140mm fans giving out 90CFM of air flow rate https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...l=laptop+cooler This post has been edited by -kytz-: Dec 12 2013, 11:16 PM |
