I wonder what is the different between Intel latest chip i3 between C2D? hurmm from my view both of the chips are dual core am I right? Then is i3 capable for hardcore gaming and OC?

one thing for sure, i3 is better oc compare to core...of course with suitable boar and ram...

Ci3 got intergrated graphics saves your money if you're waiting to buy monster graphics card and the Ci3 is unquestionably better in overclocking and faster being 32nm. Cooler too.

i3 is re branding of C2D.If you used a e8400 before i3 is the same thing with e8400.Diff is 2core 4 threat and have IGP.

It is slightly better than Core 2 Duo E8400. E8500-8600 will smoke it.

rebranding is the act of changing the name of the same product.the i3 uses a different architecture so it's not a rebrand.
simply said,a dual core nehalem derivative is faster than a dual core conroe [core 2 line] derivative at the same clockspeed

i5 or i7 is different matter~

IMHO Q9XXX series is still completely relevant in today's gaming definition. Unless you got cash, it is not necessarily practical to change to i series

Buy Amd is better..
I just assembled a system for my nephew. Athlon2 X3 435 is only RM250 and then unlock to X4. Totally blew my E8500@4GHz. AMD is so money friendly...
