Hi, I used to play in this server when I was in Australia and has stopped since I came back to Malaysia. That was 3 years ago. The reason is it lagged so much and keep getting disconnected.

I am wondering, if anyone out there roll on this server and the latency. I would like to start playing again if the latency is not that bad.

those who used extra services (vpn and tunnel) would complain from time to time about how laggy it was to play and would had d/c in 10/25 loooong time ago, if they aren't running those service that kept their connectivity stable.

TMNut cares the contents in our wallet as how we cared about the contents of the game... and we pay for the lag...

Just use gamepath or gametune... if you're interested, sometimes you can get upto 200ms latency on some gates. 300-400ms in 25 man raids are normal and quite playable.

As to your main question, whether the realm is indeed more laggy, I'm sorry I don't have any toons made there to test it out.

I was in frostmoune, 2 years ago.. the lag was fine.. 2 and half years ago.. it was ok. But then i rerolled to barthilas and made my druid. For me, i have used gamepath..it helps.. but sometimes.. there can be massive spikes..but overall it does help the experience of playing wow..

If I am using RM66/month StreamyX, will it affect the latency comparing to someone using 1.5Mbps/2Mbps link?

i'm guessing you are using none other than TMNut screamyx (like, we have *any* other alternatives... unless you're living in area where time.com/ metrofon/ penengfon service are available... )

if you have the chance to call them up and complain about how lag it is when you're download/ youtube/ MMO craws as if it is carried by a snail, their response would wrap around the phase 'best effort basis', which means if they provide 70% of your current package, or if you are lucky to have 1.2x of the expected speed... 'localy'... not regional... not international... but local...

that also means if you're a 1mbps service subscriber log in WoW and noticed 5 figures on you latency, yet the responses getting from pinging TMNut headquarters are average 832ms... you're being buttsecks by TMNut and prepare to brace yourself from the flooding negative comments like 'L2P', 'noob-tastic', 'GTFO', 'lolret', 'scrubs', etc during any raids or bgs.

there's actually other ways to get around the issue, other than migrate out of this motha*beep*in' land:

1. get tunneling services like gamep*th, gamet*ne or p*ng2pwn, they would only suffer if the service provider decides to buttsecks them for the lulz

2. cybercafe, if you have extra cash to spare; blizz authenticator is a must becoz it's a place where key loggers, scammers and ordinary players

3. some online self-ping-lower thingamajig, it only lowers average 100ms and will eventually d/c if there's over 10 players on screen casting spells

4. get a gurlfwen, real life 'pvp' in 'battleground' > pvp in wow

I just rolled Frostmourne with my bro and currently leveling with around 350-450ms.

Sometimes will face up to 1k but for a short period of time.

Dungeons are fine, raiding not too sure never done yet in frostmourne.

Nope, I'm not using any tunneling services. Just the RM88 streamyx line. Furthermore playing on WiFi and 2 comps WOWing at the same time.

Previously I play in Gorgonnash, about the same latency 350-450ms pvp, raid. But sometimes I'll get dc mid raid and I can't connect back until they kill the boss. Too much data I guess, loading screen then DC out.

it's like paladin's old 'seal of roulette'... it'll be excellent when it procs, but most of the time.... it suxx hard...
