Hey guys, forget Anime Shrine, but recently Kopitiam subforum is being infested by the usage of Malay language, sooner or later nobody is going to speak English, shouldn't we have a rule to not overuse the Malay language? I know, I know.. this forum is based in Malaysia, but I suggest that the usage of the Malay language should be minimised and used on the Bebenang Melayu thread instead of infesting other threads, we start a topic in English but ended up getting replies in Malay. That's very confusing man. Please do something about this.

http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?act=boardrulesQUOTE General Forum Etiquette:
The official language of Lowyat.NET is the English language. All threads and posts must be in English, with the exception of specific, designated threads in the Kopitiam, and limited use to convey a specific expression or interjection. Use the report function if you found excessive use of languages other than English (doesn't matter if it's BM, Chinese or Tamil) outside the designated areas (chat threads for example), and we'll remove the infringing posts. Please do something about this. 1) you are being paranoid 2) there is such rule 3) rules are "loosened" at kopitiam so people can chill and have some fun 4) if you don't like what you see, you can always hang out at other sections. kopitiam is not everything.

Okay then, so we users can report posts in the whole forum (including Kopitiam threads with the exception of language specific threads such as Malay, Hokkien, Hakka etc.) ? It's more of a common courtesy to post in English in an English forum so it's not strictly enforced. But we'll act if there's deliberate abuses on this. Of course there's some exceptions other than the chat threads. For example if you want to copy and paste an article in other languages.
